CONGRATULATIONS MV on making the CCS 2007 Finals!!!!!
The first time since 1986...
The format changed with champions and runnersup from nine leagues (Santa Cruz Coast League joined the field) qualifying, increasing the field to 18 teams. Defending champion Mitty was the undefeated favorite going into the tourney, but Palo Alto and Santa Teresa had lost only to Mitty.

For the second consecutive year Mitty defeated Monta Vista by two goals in overtime for the championship. Karen Beckner scored the winning goal early in overtime on a pass from Kerry Stivaletti. Mitty star Brandi Chastain, whose long throw-in to Debbie Norbutas resulted in the first goal, tallied the clincher. It was Mitty’s 37th consecutive match without a defeat.
