Monday, April 9
Opening Ceremonies at Montavilla Park
Opening Ceremonies for Montavilla will be on SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 2012. Montavilla/Mt Tabor Players need to be on the field in uniform ready to line up with their teams at 9:45 a.m. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on field one which will be the field closest to the concession wagon. Ceremonies should be over about 11:30 a.m.
The concession wagon will also be open for food/snack purchases.
There will be games on opening day. The major baseball and softball will have season openers at 1:00 p.m. Junior softball will have a double header at 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Montavilla Little League Picture Day
Picture day for Montavilla Little League will be Friday, April 13th for those on the Montavilla Teams. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. rain or shine. Ordering online for pictures needs to be completed before your April 13th picture time. You can order your pictures at www.BDSP.me - Please order online from this website, print your receipt, and bring it with you to picture day.
Approximate schedule picture times:
Teeball at 5:30 and 5:50
Farm softball at 5:50
Minor softball at 6:10
Minor baseball at 6:10
Major baseball at 6:30
Please be in complete uniform and ready to go 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time. Sara Barnard will be on hand for you to pick up your fundraising candy immediately after you are done with pictures. Please DO NOT leave without checking with Sara first. Tina Kisor will have concessions set up near the parking lot so if you were in a rush to get to pictures on time,you may purchase hot dogs, chips, water soda, etc...
Players on the Lents team will be doing team/individual pictures on April 7th at Lents.
Players on the Mt Tabor team will be doing their team/individual pictures on May 12th at Mt Tabor.

FIELD WORK DAY
Saturday, March 24, 2012 we will be installing the home run fence and beginning prep work on the fields to get ready for the season. If you an hour or two available, please stop by and help. A crew will be at Montavilla beginning at 9:00 am. Your help is greatly appreciated.

If you have a child that is interested in playing baseball or softball but you are not sure which league you belong to, please contact the District 2 info line and leave a message with your name, address and phone number. Some one will get back to you with in 24 hours.
ALWAYS Looking for Sponsors
Montavilla Little League is on its way to great things. We have a lot of good ideas for some new things for the children in our League. Unfortunately, our checkbook puts a damper on what we want to do a lot of the time. Your registration fees cover the bare minimum required to operate this League. In order to provide some of the "luxury items" for our League, we rely on sponsorship monies that come in from area businesses.
We are beginning to pull together our list of sponsors for the 2008 season. We anticipate sending out the first round of sponsor letters sometime the first part of November.
We have found that our best source of sponsors in the past has come from our very own league membership. Businesses are many times more apt to donate funds and/or sponsor when they know someone involved with our league.
Does anyone have an employer that might be interested in becoming a sponsor for the 2008 season? How about someone that you do business with on a regular basis - florist, automotive shop, veterinarian, restaurant, beauty parlor, doctor and/or dentist, dry cleaners? Please call Treasurer Paul Enterline @ 503-253-7860.
If you, or someone you know, are interested in becoming a sponsor, please call. There are many opportunities available that need sponsorship for the upcoming 2008 season: new concessions, projects, equipment, uniforms, equipment storage, Treat Wagon items, and League signage.
We Need VOLUNTEERS
Sponsoring is much more than just giving money. Many of you can sponsor with your time. Our volunteer account is running low for this next season. Our League's strength comes from our "Individual Sponsors" who every year step forward to coach, rake, sell hot dogs, and tackle dozens of jobs and tasks for the League.
YOU, not the bank account, are the League's greatest asset.
The Board urges everyone to take pride in our League and support your child and his or her team in every way you can. We are ALWAYS on the hunt for volunteers for a variety of jobs.
