Fall Clinics

 About Our Program

CU provides a program that offers coaching education support that is unmatched in our region. This support will be designed specifically to accommodate the needs of volunteer recreational coaches across all of the communities in northern Cincinnati. CU has developed relationships with LSO Recreational Soccer, West Chester Soccer club, Monroe Soccer Assocation, GSSA SAY, and Madeira SAY that share a vision of partnership, which will prepare their coaches with all of the resources they need to coach recreational teams.

Cincinnati United Outreach Clinics:
Last year we had one of our clinics in September, which was very poorly attended. The feedback that we received was that it would be more appropriate to front load their clinic schedules in August, and to do so on a Friday evenings. Therefore be offering the following schedule…
Friday, August 21st (5:45-6:45) @ Metalex Park.

-Coaching the U6 player (Instructional)

-Coaching the U8 player (Passer)

Friday, August 28th (5:45-6:45) in Blue Ash

-Coaching the U6 player (Instructional)

-Coaching the U8 player (Passer)

Monday, August 18
Inaugural Convention

Cincinnati United is proud to announce the successful results of our inaugural CU Convention. The CU Convention was a cooperative effort between our Recreational Outreach Partners (Lakota Sports Organization, Monroe Soccer Association, and West Chester Soccer Club) and Cincinnati United. The clinicians were CU Directors of Coaching John McGinlay, Andy Szucs, Paul Rockwood, Brian Page, and Mike Duncan.

With over 150 coaches attending, nearly 100 walked away with either a USSF Youth Module or USSF ‘F’ License. This means that our inaugural convention will impact over 2,000 kids! To review specifics about the convention, please visit: http://www.cincinnatiunitedsoccer.com/RecreationalOutreachProgram/CoachingEducation/Convention/tabid/5804/Default.aspx

Cincinnati United is following this up with two more clinics this fall. The clinics will take place at Metalex Park (directions are on our website) on Saturday, September 6th from 4:00-5:00 and Saturday, September 27th from 4:00-5:00.

The vision of the Cincinnati United Recreational Outreach Program is guided by three key principles…

  • To provide a program that will offer coaching education support that is unmatched in our region.  This support will be designed specifically to accommodate the needs of volunteer recreational coaches across all of the communities in northern Cincinnati.
  • To cultivate relationships with organizations that share a vision of partnership, which will prepare their coaches with all of the resources they need to coach recreational teams.
  • To develop associations with recreational programs who want a partner that can provide a trusted avenue to select soccer for interested players and coaches, and who will communicate this to their membership.

Thanks to all who made this happen - - it is the springboard that has launched our Recreational Outreach Program into the best coaching education support program in Ohio!

Please check out our Power Point presentation as well.
