2018 Information

Board Positions

Talk to any board member if you are interested in being on the board. There are MANY open positions which means there are just a few of us helping to make the season happen. No baseball experience or knowledge is necessary. Available positions include: Opening/Closing Day coordinator, Equipment coordinator, Uniforms coordinator, Treasurer, Player Agent, etc. We really need help to run a successful season. 

Saturday, April 28, 2017: Opening Day Ceremony

The ceremony begins at 10:00am at Shady Rest ballfields. Please arrive dressed in uniform at 9:30am to line up. Programs will be passed out with the photo and game schedule.

What to take to Opening Day:

Hats (There is no shade at Whi

Sunscreen

Chairs for t-ball parents as your games are in the outfield where there are no bleachers. Bleacher chairs, if you have those, for games on fields 1 and 2.

Equipment for playing baseball

Appropriate clothing for cold and wind. (Whitmore can get windy) 

Other:

If you did not submit a volunteer application, you may not help out during practices or games. Volunteer applications will be available if you would like to volunteer. It takes about 48 hours to process.

 Saturday, June 9, 2018: Closing Day Ceremony and BBQ

Come out to watch the farm, minors, and majors teams play their final games. Then join us for free hotdogs provided by Toomey's, presentation of awards and team trophies/medals, announcement of the all-star teams, and family friendly games. It is a fun day for everyone, even those players not playing a game on Saturday! Games start at 9:00 a.m. Food will be ready after the games, around 12:00 p.m. We hope to see everyone there!  

 



Sponsorship
It is again the time of year to reach out to the community to ask for sponsorship money. The support of sponsors through the years has allowed us to keep league fees low for the hundreds of local children that play baseball each year. We have also been able to purchase new equipment including catcher’s gear, bats, balls and pitching aids.

Please refer to the enclosed/attached form for the different levels of sponsorship available. We hope you can commit to helping this year.
