Welcome to the home of the Michigan-Ohio Girls' Baseball League!

The Michigan-Ohio Girls' baseball league is a place where girls can play baseball with and against other girls while having fun, acquiring new skills, learning about fundamentals and mechanics, learning the game, polishing their talents, and making new friends. Perhaps some of these girls will desire to play baseball when they get older... in women's leagues in high school, college, recreational leagues, national, regional, and international competitions, and even in pro ball. MOGBL is committed to helping these girls acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and experience in order to fulfill their dreams and desires of playing baseball at higher levels. MOGBL is also committed to showing its players how to be team players and good sports while having fun when playing baseball.

The MOGBL will start play in its inaugural season of 2008. The season will run from the beginning of July or the middle of July through the end of September. Currently, teams are being formed in:

Ann Arbor
Detroit
Farmington Hills
Toledo

Please take a look at our teams' sites by clicking on Teams in the menu at the top. We welcome any other teams that want to join the MOGBL.

Plans are to create age divisions that will cover age 5 up to age 15 players (females 16 years of age and older participate in women's baseball leagues). No experience is necessary for players. Girls, volunteers and coaches who join the league will have opportunities to attend FREE training clinics in various locations.

If you are a girl who is excited about the idea of playing baseball and who wants to join a team, please contact us! If you are an adult who is interested in coaching, starting a team, and/or volunteering, please contact us. If you already have a team established and would like to join our league, please let us know! MOGBL@comcast.net

In addition to league play in 2008, some tournaments are being planned for different girls age groups. Such tournaments are Great Lakes regional tournaments with girls' teams from Chicago and South Bend, Indiana during the spring and summer, WBL sponsored tournaments and USA Baseball Champions Program sanctioned tournaments.
