Welcome to our site. If you are a girl and you love basketball, then your at the right place. We are here to help you take your game to the next level. We offer leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments, private lessons and AAU traveling teams for ages 9 - 17 years old. If your just beginning your basketball experience or if your a very skilled player, we have something for you. We also have Adult leagues (18+) for College players and ladies that still love to play the game. Financial assistance is available. If you have any questions just email us or give us a call.  Player Safety: No earrings, wristbands, watches or any jewelry is to be worn.  Player’s hair should not have anything sharp that may cause injury.  Player’s will not be allowed to play if any of these items are not removed. 

 

Teams, Rosters & Schedule on our website.  All coaches will help or lead the practice sessions.  We will start practice in the cafeteria and work on all non-shooting skills and then in the gym we will work on shooting (10 Min) followed by a game.

Special Rules               
Our goal is to create a positive teaching and coaching environment.  We want the girl’s to learn the game fundamentals and have a positive experience doing it.  Our league will have special rules to help create that atmosphere.
  • NO score will be kept except for the last weekend (Tournament).  The clock will be running time.  No Halftime.  Clock will stop for substitutions (15 sec), time outs or injuries.
  • Mandatory substitutions every 5 minutes.  Everyone must play at least ½ the game or 20 minutes.
  • NO pressing, pick up at half court exception grades 7-8 can press last 10 minutes of the game.
  • Free Throws – We will only be shooting 1 shot during any FT situation.
  • Some teams have 11 players - We will play a 45 minute game to insure ALL players get their 20 minutes of game time. 
  • More rules published in league program.

 AAU Try Outs for Grades 5-8 and more.

We will be having try outs over the next 2weekends for 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade teams.  Schedule info below.   Ask League Directors for specific details about traveling teams.  Information flyer in our Handouts/Flyer folder in our menu. We will also have them at the gym.

League Tournament, Mar 3 & 10
The tournament will start on March 3 and end on March 10.  Each team will play 3 games (1 on Mar 3 and 2 on Mar 10).  We will keep score and most all the current rules will apply. We will have tourney rules published before tourney starts.  ALL players will receive a medal.  We will be charging Admission on March 10th only ($2.00,  Adults Only (18 yrs +).  Coaches, Players & Children 17 under will get in FREE.  We will have a Skills Challenge for each age group and winners will get a T-shirt.  More detailed info to come later. Homework drawing will be held on March 10 and winners from each group will receive a T-shirt.  We will also be having a raffle on March 10, prizes and other info later.
Homework
There are 2 homework assignments in the league program you received.  If you complete the homework and turn it in, your name will be put in for a raffle to win a MAGIC T-shirt.  We will have a winner for each division (4).  Drawing will be held on Mar 10th.  I will have extra copies at the gym.
Merchandise
We have T-shirts ($12 & $15) and sweatshirts ($30) available this week.  We are out of the smaller sizes and will be ordering more soon.  We also have the Entertainment Savings Books ($15.00) and our Magic Cookbook ($5.00).   We will have Mom, Dad, Grandpa & Grandma T-shirts and Polo Shirts for sale ($10).  Limited sizes and quantities available.

Spring League & Camp
We are planning to have a Spring League for Grades 1-12.  The Spring League for Gr 1-8 will be on Saturdays starting Mar 24-Apr 28, 9am-4pm (6 weeks), location will be at Hart-Ransom.  Our league for grades 9-12 will be Friday nights(5-9pm) Mar 23-Apr 27 at Modesto Chr HS.  Our Spring Camp will be at Enochs HS from April 10-13(Tue-Fri, 9am-12noon or 1-4pm) for grades 1-8.  More details to be published soon along with flyers.

Recycle

We recycle ink ,toner cartridges, cell phones and more (List below).  Just bring them in and drop them off at our check in table.  If you have a business, we can give you plastic tub to put them in and just give me a call and I can come by and pick them up when the tub is full.
