Marple Newtown Youth Lacrosse is an all-volunteer, non-profit youth sports organization serving Marple and Newtown Townships.  We are a competitive lacrosse league dedicated to promoting the game of Lacrosse as a fun and exciting opportunity to engage the youth of our community in a positive activity, to the development of young lacrosse players, and to having fun doing it.

Now Registering for Spring 2013!

2013 Registration
Boys Kindergarten through Eighth Grades
We will be holding our registration on Friday January 11 and 18 from 7-9PM and Saturday January 12 and 19 from 10AM-1PM at the Newtown Township building on Bishop Hollow Road in Newtown Square for the Spring 2013 season.
We will be teaching the basic skills required to play lacrosse. Practice will begin as soon as we get our field permits depending upon the weather. The games are played on weekends and will start in early April and continue until early June.
This year we will have a developmental team in the 3rd/4th grade level as well as a travel team for more seasoned players, the 5 & 6 grade teams will play in the B level and 7 & 8 grade A division teams.  We may field additional teams based upon registration numbers and coaches and parents available to help.  We will also have an in-house instructional program for kindergarten, first and second grade players.  No experience is necessary, every year our teams have many new lacrosse players at every level who are soon playing along with our returning players.

Parents Meeting!
We will once again be holding a parents meeting this year. We are attempting to reserve a date at the MNSH cafeteria for early in February.
Just like last year we will be inviting a few vendors to come with discounted "starter packages" as well as other merchandise. We will also be taking orders for "new" items for 2013 as well as selling out our 2012 merchandise! 

 

Parental Involvment:

We are very fortunate to have individuals who's children have graduated through our program as well as coaches who don't have any children yet that are involved with our program.  BUT we need more help.  Our Board of Directors have many great ideas that we would like to implement don't need your support to get things done.  Would you like to be a team parent?  Can you help us with Fundraising?  Want to help organize an Adult Social?  Can you design a Web site?  Willing to line the fields, be a timekeeper, statistician?  Whatever you can and are willing to do, we need your help and want to hear from you.  Email us at Marpleyouthlax@yahoo.com and lets us know how you want to help out.
