Feb 24 Booster Meeting Minutes
MN Lax meeting 2/24/03
Board members in attendance were:
Steve Videon, Gary Becker, Debbie Kerschner, Debbie Pieri and Carolanne Viola
Coach Levis and Jeff Benner attended to discuss equipment, scheduling of games and fund raising.
The following topics were discussed:
1. Debbis Kerschner discussed the recording of all deposits, payment of equipment (gloves, elbow pads and helmets). Debbie also noted that everything else has been paid for except umbrellas. Board members agreed with Debbie Kerschners financial statement.
2. By-laws were done and approved by the board. They will be forward to the AD, Mr. Ted Aceto.
3. Registration and dues: Saturday 3/1/03 will be a team meeting according to Coach Levis. This will not be a full practice but will consist of running. Coach Levis stated that any of the kids that have not paid the dues will not be able to practice starting on 3/3/03. Debbie Kerschner has a list of kids that still owe for dues. Debbie will coordinate with Coach Levis. Coach Levis stated there are more kids that want to register. No one will be cut from the team.
4. Helmets: Jeff Benner stated any helmets that have been ordered, have been paid. Only two helmets have been ordered that we need to sell
5. Merchandise: there are a lot of license plates still available, 12 umbrellas and some shirts. Coach Levis will take one shirt to show and try to get orders. Debbie Kerschner will handle this and has order forms for any parents or kids that would like to place an order.
6. Sweat Shirts: Booster club will only take orders for these, the cost will be $45.00
7. Corporate fund raising: Jeff Benner stated that MAB will be donating money, Broomall Rotary Club will be donating money and Newtown Rotary still presenting to there board. Donations totoaling so far are $350.00. Jeff Benner still working on corporate fund raising and hopes to receive approximately $1,000.00
8. Programs: Jeff Benner suggested a program to be put together to acknowledge donations. The board will discuss this in detail at the next meeting.
9. Team Pictures: Debbie Pieri to handle coordinating team pictures. Debbie also suggested a team picture to go to the corporate sponsers who donated money to MN Lax Booster Club
10. Permier Lacrosse: the equipment that Coach Levis and Greg Leonard ordered for the team has not come in yet. They are on top of this problem. Players have paid for the equipment and Coach Levis has also been paid.
11. Jackets: cant order until freshmen get there numbers. There are no volunteers to handle this project. Board will discuss at next meeting.
12. The following was discussed with attending parents: Any student that did not register because of price should talk to Coach Levis. Any student that cant afford the price of new helmet, parents suggested donating old equipment. This will be on a as needed bases.
13. 3/1/03, starting practice, Ed Periera and Jeff Benner will get the Gatorade for this practice. Coach Levis stated he needs 50 bottles. Gary Becker will get Gatorade from BJ;s and Debbie Kerschner will reinburst him. Practice will not be cancelled due to bad weather.
14. Joe Monroe is looking into getting Gatorade at wholesale prices for whole year. He will coordinate this with Steve Videon.
15. Car Washes: 3/15 still need parents to help 4/5 Debbie Pieri, Carolanne Viola, Debbie Kerschner.
16. Dave Glielmi will handle car washes, where, who will work and how much.
17. WEB SITE: WWW.ETEAMZ/MNLAX.COM Debbie Kerschner,Veronica Kelley and Warren Dardine will get with Mike Barnes. This will be for JV and Varsity
18. Senior Night: parents needed
19. Banquet: Mr. Erving handling this
20. Final Four STATES; BOOSTERS ARE STILL DISCUSSING
21. NEXT MEETING WILL BE HELD ON 3/24/03 AT 7;30 PM ROOM 122 PLEASE ATTEND

l. Reviewed treasurer report for March from Debbie K.
2. Car wash was a big success, made almost 1200.00
3. Jeff Benner still collecting from community patrons
4. Banquet: Bob Erwin is handling this. Dates available are 6/1/, 6 to 9 PM
or 6/3, 6 to 9 PM. We also discussed senior gifts and Bob instructed we need a 200.00
deposit and that we should pick the date as soon as possible.
5. States: 5/27 and 5/30 boosters are still discussing
6. Gary Becker will speak to Dr. Aceto about awards for Lax team. 5 plaques
will be needed. . Bob Erwin will get prices for plaques
7. Theresa Dempsey will handle senior night
8. Gatorade for games, Carolanne and Debbie will buy for tomorrow's game and
Saturdays game.
9. Box lunch: Debbie K. will call about box lunch for Saturday game
10.Web site. Mike Barnes, Pat Dempsey, Warren Dardine, Debbie K. are working
to keep this going.
11. Donations and Contributions plaque with lax logo discussed with parents.
Thank you letter are being sent to donators.
12. Selling space for final four from vendors etc. Gary Becker and Steve
Video will discuss with Dr. Aceto.

Booster meeting 4/21/03
Attendance: Carolanne Viola, Debbie Pieri, Gary Becker, Debbie Kirschner,

Forman, Karen Woomer, Sue Benner, Jim and Elaine Edwards, Jill
Johnston, Sandy Sgro, Terry Montani,
Bank Balance, $5,357.93
l. Lax helmet bill of 756.00 is still due, Debbie K. asking lacrosse
international for copy.
2. Car wash, the next date that was scheduled has been cancelled due to
weather.
3. States: 5/27 Tuesday and 5/30 Friday, snack bar belongs to boosters; Gary
Becker will assign times to all parents. Anyone who can work the earlier shifts
please let Gary know. Steve, Carolanne and Debbie P. will get together to discuss what
to sell at states.
4. Senior night: Theresa Dempsey is handling this.
5. Banquet: The date has been set for 6/1/03 6 to 10 pm at the Paxon Hollow CC.

Jeff Benner will be taking pictures of the seniors.
Plaques are probably coming from Carl's Cards. Large plaques are $20.00 and the small plaques range from $5.00 to $10.00.

games, time changes, directions, etc.
7. Mike Barnes can get films for the parents. Cost is $25.
8. Schedule: Steve and Gary are going to talk to Dr. Aceto because this needs
to be handled better.
9. Practice: The time that practice ends is never the same. Parents need
to know a set time, especially for the parents whose children do not drive. Steve
will address Coach Levis on this situation.
10.We have 2 people per class to do a phone chain. We will be putting this
to use more use, because of scheduling and changes of games, etc.
11. Next lax meeting will be Monday, May 19, 2003 at 7:00 pm
