Help Run the FUN!!! Open Board Positions
The MMWLL Board has the following positions open that we would love to have filled:
Field Maintenance Coordinator
Assistant Player Agent

Head Scorekeeper.
There is training available for these positions.

New this year; we will be requiring each division to have a division representative on the board. The division rep will attend board meetings and pass  information on to their divisions. Its a good way to see how MMWLL works.  Please contact Marybeth MacNaughton at marybethmacnaughton@gmail.com if you are interested.

Motorola Field Clean UP!!
Mot_Thank You
Have you noticed how great the fields look? Are you wondering how they got that way? Well, here's the scoop.

Farm Manager Rick Pernell got the MMWLL fields signed up to be a part of the Motorola Global Day of Service Project. On Thursday, October 20, 2011,  20 of Coach Rick's coworkers arrived in their red shirts and white hats ready to work. From 9am - 1pm, they worked super hard, cleaning up all of the fields and the snack bar.

Here is what they did: cut down the bushes (trees) in front of the snack bar, removed and replaced all the rotten bleacher boards, took down the termite infested gazebo, primed and painted all the wooden bleachers and picnic tables, weed wacked around the perimeter of all the fields, removed the gigantic weeds taking over the t-ball dugouts, swept out the snack bar and patio and picked up all the trash blowing around. Both dumpsters were overflowing and were emptied today.

Our league benefited  from about 100 man (and woman) power hours so we fed them a BBQ lunch of hot dogs, burgers, veggie burgers chips, fruit and brownies. The way to every volunteers heart is through their stomach and we would like to see Motorola return next year.

Shout outs also go to MMWLL President Marybeth MacNaughton and VP Greg Bridger for all the behind the scenes work including surveying the fields, organizing the projects, shopping for supplies, manning the grill (Greg) and cleaning up.
