Coaches, players and parents,
Here's a nice team prayer to say before each game:
Dear God, Thank you for bringing us all here today, thanks for all who make this game possible: the coaches, referees, score-table workers and fans but especially God thank you for our talents as Basketball players.
Lord, you know what's in our hearts. Help us with our needs.
And as we go out on the court today, May our actions and our words be pleasing to you. In Jesus Name. Amen. |

Maureen Molarz wiil be deeply missed and always remembered in our hearts. Her spirit will live on at every game and every time I pray with the CYO players,as she was always supportive and an inspiration to me in the faith she exemplified, professed and prayed.
Our hearts and prays go out to her wonderful family. May family and friends and their faith comfort them during this difficult time

MMOG CYO - Tournament Committee
|
A quick summary from the tournament committee:
In a span of 28 Days, 16 Tournaments involving a total of 94 Games, played at 3 different venues, on 5 Courts, on 4 Thursdays, 4 Saturdays, 3 Sundays and 1Tuesday.
188 Referees, 188 Scorekeepers and Clock Operators, and over 300 Gate and Concession Operators.
It was a very long and grueling haul that could not have been accomplished without the support of so many people. We believe that our tournament is one of the best experiences for our members and invited guests. This could not be done by 1 or 2 people. The numbers speak for themselves.
We would like to thank all of the coaches and parents who contributed their time and efforts . Without your support this could not have been done.
Although there were so many, at the risk of making an oversight the following people should be recognized for their efforts:
Concession Paul Leifer and Family for their outstanding efforts
Joe Sheridan and Wakefern foods for their continued generosity
Trophies Matt Monahan for medals and trophies and coordinating the many awards cerimonies
Shirts Mark Senker and Family for design, coordination, delivery, sales
Volunteers John and Sue Tursky for their tenacity, dilligence and willingness to take on the enormity of this endeavor
which without them and their volunteers, we could not succeed
Publicity Pat Rhodes who ensured that results were accurate and hi-lights were published
Ray Morelli - Web Master - who kept our schedules and results current and timely
Tournament Coordinators Alex Voitovich, Andy Alvarez, Matt Monahan, Mark Nagel, Larry Yard and Pat Rhodes - There were so many close and exciting games.
Misc Larry Yard and Mark Nagel who were the utility men, involved in all apects including scheduling, set-up, clean-up, and refereeing.
And of course Billy Brazill. From Gym Time to Refereeing and annoucing and coaching a championship along the way, his dedication and leadership is the inspiration that makes us what we are.
It is truly a labor of love for many of us involved. We believe that we are a different organization and that we make a difference for all of our members. People involved are involved for the right reasons.
Congratulations to all on a job Well Done ! |
