 ...AURORA ADVANCES TO THE CANADIAN CUP TOURNAMENT FINAL IN MONTREAL BUT SETTLES FOR SILVER MEDAL... Montreal,Quebec, March 28, 2004 The Minor Midget A Aurora Tigers advanced to the final of the prestigious Canadian Cup in Montreal this weekend, but had to settle for the Silver Medal, after dropping a 5-0 decision to the Warminster Glaciers from Pennsylvania. Aurora earlier posted wins over the Ludlow Wildcats from Vermont, 6-3, and a 2-0 win over the Rutland BlackIce from Mass. to advance to the final. Check back on Tuesday for photos from the event.
... OMHA MINOR MIDGET 'A' & 'AA' FINALS UPDATE...
Aurora, ON, March 29, 2004 The Orillia Terriers wrapped up their OMHA Championship this past weekend defeating Southpoint in four games to claim the Title. This keeps the Title in the York Simcoe League for the second straight year. Congratulations Terriers! The Barrie Flyers have already completed their title aspirations after disposing of Burlington in three straight games to capture the 'AA' crown.
...TIGERS WAIT FOR MONTREAL...

With the regular season and playoffs over for the Minor Midget A Tigers and no return possible to the York Simcoe Playoffs due to the teams huge playoff success in the OMHA, the team will take some time off prior to its final event this season in Montreal, the Canadian Cup.
The Tigers will practice once a week or so in preparation for the Tournament, and may play some exhibition games, but those decisions are not at the forefront of the Team Staff at the moment, as the reality of Tuesday evenings loss hits home.
The practice schedule for March has been posted on our Tiger Calendar, and one or two extra sessions may be added as well.
Updates on the Tiger schedule for the next four weeks will be posted promptly, so check back often for all the news.

...In one of the finest games of the season, Orillia and Aurora put on a great show last night in Orillia, where the Terriers ended the Tiger season in a thrilling game, 3-2. Orillia advances to the OMHA Semi-final with the win.....Full story right here...
...TIGERS PLAYOFF LIVES ON THE LINE TONIGHT IN ORILLIA...

After a marvelous playoff run that has seen the sixth seeded Lyons Auto Body Minor Midget A Aurora Tigers advance all the way to the OMHA Quarter Finals aganist top seeded Orillia, the Tigers will be fighting for their playoff lives tonight at the Orillia Community Center at they try and stave off elimination, down 2-0 in the best of five series.
After a close 4-3 loss in Game 1, Orillia blew open the series in Game 2 with seven power-play goals as the undermanned Tigers fought to keep their head above water in the lop-sided loss. Tonight's task in Orillia at 7:45 PM will prove to be just as tough as Aurora once again, will field a short bench. Injuries to Patrick Bowie, Adam Jakovina, Robbie Juffs, Mike Bentley, Peter McNeillalong with a suspension to Matt Kerrwill leave the Tiger line-up sorely depleted, but the remaining players vow to play as hard as possible, and let the chips fall where they may.

...The Tigers move to the OMHA Quarter Finals after defeating the Barrie Flyers 3-2 in Aurora last night and a sweep of their third round series. The victory sets up a a highly anticipated meeting with the Orillia Terries, who earlier defeated the Stouffville Clippers in the other bracket semi-final, three games to none...Full story right here...

 On April 8, 2004 the AMHA announced that the AA and A tryouts for Midget will be combined, ie: all players interested in Midget Rep Hockey for 2004/2005 should attend the first session, April 12, 2004. Further Fall tryouts will be announced at a Later Date. Check the AMHA Website for Updates.
