First Comets College Commitment!

Jessica has verbally committed to Butler University, in Indianapolis, Indiana.   Jessica, who is a Junior, will join the Butler Bulldogs in the Fall of 2009.  Jessica has been a stand out player on the Comets team for more than six years.  She has also been a starter since her Freshman year with the Cherokee Chiefs High School soccer team.  Jessica considered UConn, GW, American, Lehigh and LaSalle before making her final decision to attend Butler.   Go Jess!  The Comets are proud of you.

Class of 2009 College Commitment

Sarah has verbally committed to Fordham University in the Bronx and Manhattan, New York.  Sarah will join the Rams in the Fall of 2009.  Sarah has been with the MLU Comets since it was formed in 1999.  She played on the field as well as in goal.  A tremendous athlete, Sarah has been the Comets primary goalkeeper for several years.  She recently led her high school soccer team, Lenape, to a Group IV State Championships.  Congratulations Sarah!  Fordham is getting one of the "best".

Comets First 2010 College Commitment

Bridgette has verbally committed to Rider University located in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.  Bridgette will keep her "fav" #13 when she takes the field as one the Bronc's strikers in the Fall of 2010.  Bridgette just completed an excellent high school season as the leading scorer, and she is an integral part of the Comets offense.  Rider has made an excellent choice.  Congratulations Gette.

Kerri Commits to La Salle

Kerri will attend La Salle University in 2010 on a soccer scholarship.  Kerri is one of  the original Comets and has been a stand out player for the team for the past 10 years.  Kerri is a tremendous athlete who has played exceptionally well in many positions (defensive, midfield, offense and goalkeeper).  Kerri is also a standout player on her high school team.  This year as an Eastern Viking, she received Courier Post All South Jersey second team and All-Group 4 honors.  Kerri considered Drexel, St. Joe's, Delaware and Seton Hall, before making her decision to play with the La Salle Explorers. Congratulations Kerri.

Kat Commits to Duquesne University

Kathleen has verbally committed to Duquesne University located in Pittsburgh, PA.  Kathleen will join the Dukes in the Fall of 2010.  Kathleen has been with the Comets for 8 years, and as a top player and excellent leader, she has been Team Captain for 6 of those years.  Kathleen is also a top high school player earning 1st Team All Group and All South Jersey honors during the past season.  Duquesne will be lucky to have Kathleen as part of their squad.  Congratulation Kathleen.

Allie Commits to Drexel

Allie has verbally committed to Drexel University.  She will be joining the Dragons in the Fall of 2010.  Allie has played with the Comets for five years.  As a strong and fast defensive back, Allie has been a consistent asset and leader on the Comets defensive line.  Allie has been a 3-year varsity player for her high school team at Bishop Eustace and recently led her team to a 2nd State Championship in 3 years.  Nice pick Drexel. Congrats Allie.

Carley Commits to Rider

Carley C. has decided to join the Rider University Broncs soccer team in the Fall of 2010.  Carley joined the Comets about a year ago and has contributed to the team in many areas on the field.  Carley is also a 3 year varsity and 2 year starting varsity player on her high school team, Lenape, who recently won their 2nd consecutive state championship.  Congratulations Carley.

Carolyn Chooses Rider

Carolyn has verbally committed to Rider University.  This is Carolyn’s 9th year with the Comets, and she has been an integral part of the Comets success over these many years.  Carolyn is a strong player who puts the “D” in Defense on the back line.  Carolyn is also a standout player on her high school team, Lenape.  This year, she received, 1st team honors for All Conference, All County, All South Jersey, All Group IV as well as 1st Team All State with Top 20 honors. She also led her high school to an undefeated season and 2nd consecutive State Championship.  Rider gets another one of the Comets’ best.  Congratulations Carolyn.

Jessica to Join The Dragons

Jessica has verbally committed to Drexel University and will join the Dragons in the Fall of 2010.  Jessica joined the Comets at the beginning of the 2008-2009 season.  She is a talented player and had many accomplishments in her prior soccer career including 3-year ODP player, NJ State Champion and standout 3-year high school varsity starter.  This year, Jessica received All South Jersey, All State, 1st Team Conference and 1st Team Group 3 honors.  Congratulations Jessica.

Kelsey Commits to James Madison

Kelsey has verbally committed to James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  Kelsey will join the Dukes in the Fall of 2010.  Kelsey has been with the Comets for six years.  She has an amazing left foot and is one of the Comets go-to players for free kicks and corners.  Kelsey has been on the 1991 ODP NJ State team for 3 years which won the 2007 ODP National Championships.  Kelsey is a 3-year varsity player at Eastern High School which won a state championship in 2006.  Congratulations Kelsey!

Stephanie Making Her Way to GW

Stephanie has committed to George Washington University in Washington, DC.  She will join the Colonials in the Fall of 2010.   Stephanie is in her fifth season with the Comets and rounds out the Comets defense on the back line.  Known for her long throw-ins and great work effort, Stephanie is a consistent key player for the Comets.  Stephanie is also a 3-year varsity player on her Haddonfield Memorial high school team where this year as a junior served as team captain.  Stephanie also received All-State, All-Conference and All-Group honors in addition to Defensive Player of the Year honors.  The Comets wish you the best!
