CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tickets on sale!!
Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) and U.S. Soccer have announced that individual tickets for 2008 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying in Los Angeles, Tampa and Nashville will go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 12 p.m. local time in each market. Get all the information in this article at USSoccer.com. Tickets are priced from $18 to $65 for each of the eight doubleheaders in the tournament.

USA v Sweden - Roadtrip!!
Around 30 people from the Valley and Tucson were in LA to witness history as the US Men's National team(20) defeated Sweden, currently ranked 22nd, 2-0 in their first match of 2008. The match marked the 500th game for US Men's soccer and Landon Donovan became the all-time leading men's scorer when he converted a penalty kick.
Sweden was using the match as a tuneup for the upcoming EURO2008, the 2nd most important international event for Euro countries.

USA Women Wins Four Nations Tournament for Third Consecutive Year
A 77th minute goal off a header from midfielder Shannon Boxx earned the US Women a 1-0 victory over China.
Canada and Finland were the other competitors in the tournament.

Professional team Arizona youth academies
Bento's Soccer Academy is the official Arizona soccer academy of S.L. Benfica of Portugal, currently Freddie Adu's team.
Bento's is planning to take up to 10 U-12 players to the Benfica academy in Lisbon Portugal where they will train with and play against Benfica's U-12 team. They will also practice with players like Rui Costa, Nuno Gomez and Freddie Adu.
RSL Arizona is the official Arizona soccer academy of Real Salt Lake of the MLS. Our own Ron Gilmore is the team administrator of the U-16 and U-17 teams.
Chivas Futbol Academy is the official Arizona soccer academy of Club Deportivo Guadalajara(Chivas) of the FMF(Mexican League) and MLS. It is located at the Glendale Youth Sports Complex next to University of Phoenix Stadium.

International tourney to debut Feb. '08 in Hawaii
The Houston Dynamo and the LA Galaxy will participate in a new Pan-Pacific Tournament with teams from the A-League(Australia) and the J-League(Japan).
