The Mundelein Junior Football League (MJFL) provides organized youth football and cheerleading to children from 1st through 8th grades within Mundelein,IL and the surrounding communities.  Founded in 1956, our league's success is a testament to the diligent work of our parents, coaches, local businesses and the children of MJFL.  Their commitment, dedication and support have allowed our league to thrive over the years and provide our youth with a positive sports experience!

STATE CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to the Featherweight 2s (2nd Grade), for their victory at the IRCA State Championship on December 3rd and 4th at the Sears Centre Arena.  Coached by Daisy Flores, the girls performed superbly and brought the trophy to Mundelein. 

Congratulations also go to the Featherweight 3s (3rd Grade), coached by Kim Burchill who took 2nd Place in State.

Congratulations also go to the Mid-Varsity (4th & 5th Grade), coached by Dawn Avis, who also took 2nd Place in State.

Mundelein was very well represented at the IRCA State Championships, and we're very proud of all the girls who competed.  Thank you to all the coaches for their very hard work this year in preparing the teams for competition.   

THANK YOU, COACH WOODYARD!

Coach Alan Woodyard announced at the November board meeting that he is stepping down from the Executive Vice President position on the MJFL Board. Coach Woodyard has been a pillar on the MJFL Board for multiple terms. As the league's representative first to the Junior Football League of Northern Illinois (JFLNI) and then later to The Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL), Coach Woodyard saw to it that MJFL's interests were well represented at numerous league meetings over the years. He saw to it that we experienced a successful transition from one league to the next. Coach Alan's presence and leadership at countless registrations, weigh-ins, and uniform fittings will be well remembered by literally hundreds of players and coaches.

Thanks for all those years of service, Coach. We will miss you.

 SUPER BOWL RESULTS

On Sunday, 11/13, two Mundelein teams played in the final Super Bowl championship game for their respective divisions.

The Big 10 Lightweights entered the Super Bowl undefeated, but played another tough undefeated team from Buffalo Grove.  The game was hard fought and close thru the half but Mundelein came up short 30-12.  Congratulations on a fantastic season, players and coaches.
