GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
SUNDAY DECEMBER 7th, 2008
THE MICHIGAN SHAMROCKS BASKETBALL CLUB WILL BE HOLDING OPEN TRYOUTS FOR GIRLS
AGE 13 & UNDER. YOU MUST BE BORN AFTER JANUARY 1ST, 1995 OR BE IN THE 8TH GRADE AND BE BORN AFTER JANUARY 1ST, 1994 DETERMINES AGE GROUP ELIGIBILITY.
A FEE OF $20.00 WILL BE COLLECTED FROM EACH GIRL TRYING OUT. REGISTRATION STARTS 30 MINUTES BEFORE TRYOUT TIME.

The Flint Shamrocks U13 Basketball Club will have open gym on the following dates:
Monday November 24, 2008 @ 6:30pm - 8:00pm Holy Family Grand Blanc
Monday December 1, 2008 @ 6:30pm - 8:00pm Holy Family Grand Blanc
Tuesday December 2, 2008 @ 6:30pm - 8:00pm Holy Family Grand Blanc
Any boy/girl in the 7th and 8th grade is welcome to attend the “structured” open gym in preparation for their school or club tryouts. Approximately 50% of the practice time will focus on practicing the Fundamental skills (shooting, ball handling, passing, rebounding, fastbreak - running the floor, moving without the ball, defense, one-on-one moves – post & guards, screening) of basketball. The balance of the practice will comprise controlled scrimmages with the emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship as key elements.
There is a $5 player drop-in fee.
