Donnie Heidary, Head Coach
Don returns to the MHS coaching staff for his 19th year. He was the Head Coach/Swim Team Director at Meadow Swim & Tennis Club from 1984 to 1999 and is co-founder and Head Coach of Orinda Aquatics and Polar Bear Fall Swimming Program which currently serves over 800 local swimmers from novice to Olympic Trial levels. He has coached over 100 All-American and National level swimmers. Don was the 2004 North Coast Honor Coach and is an ASCA (American Swim Coaches Association) Level 5 coach for USS and High School Swimming. Don recently spoke at the ASCA World Clinic on vision and Team Building.  Since 1990 Miramonte has won five NCS Championships and placed in the top three nearly every year.  Don is a former high school All-American swimmer, a 1984 graduate of UC Berkeley and a member of their 1984 NCAA Championship Water Polo Team.

Kevin Lai, Varsity Coach
We are excited that Kevin Lai has joined the Miramonte coaching staff.  Kevin will be coaching the Varsity group with Donnie and Dave.  He is extremely passionate about swimming and coaching and has demonstrated uncompromising work ethic as an athelete and coach.  As an age-group swimmerKevin was ranked in the top five in the nation in breaststroke and was a model of dedication and technical discipline.  His coaching experience spans twelve years, including four years at Sleepy Hollow, three years at MCC and he has been the Head Coach at MVP for the past four years.  Kevin has the Head Junior Varsity Coach at Campolindo for the past eight years.  The program was extremely successful and carried over 100 swimmers.  He also runs the 200 member Orinda Aquatics Fall program at the Soda Center.  In addition to coaching, Kevin was an elementry school teacher and is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in English.  Kevin lives in Berkeley. 

Dave Brown, Varsity Assistant Coach
Dave Brown returns for this third year as Varsity Assistant Coach.  Dave is a former High School all-American swimmer and four-sport letter winner.  He is the former Head Coach pf Orinda Park Pool and Manager of the Canyon Pool swim School.  In addition to coaching, Dave is a member of the West Contra Costa School board, runs a political consulting company and serves as a consultant to many non-profit corporations for at risk youth. Dave is a graduate of Stanford University where he earned a spot on the varsity swim team as a freshman walk-on.  He is also in his third year as the Head Coach for the Miramonte Men's Varsity Basketball Team.

Trevor Rose,  Junior Varsity Head Coach
Trevor Rose returns as the Head JV Coach.  Trevor had an extraordinary career in the OMPA as a swimmer at Orinda Park Pool and was a four-year varsity swimmer for Miramonte as well as a Team Captain. Trevor is a graduate  UC Davis where he played water polo. Trevor is a former Head Coach of Orinda Park Pool and Campolindo Cabana Club and current Co-Head Coach of the Miramonte Gators. 

Brad Allen, Junior Varsity Assistant Coach
Brad returns to Miramonte for his third year and will be coaching the Junior Varsity with Trevor.  Brad comes from a great swimming family and was an OMPA standout at Orinda Park Pool for many years where he is in his fifth year as the Head Coach.  Brad is an ASCA Level 1 coach, a 2004 graduate of UCLA with a degree in Economics, and is currently substitute teaching.
