Little League & Softball Tryouts: (NEW Players ONLY)

• Saturday, March 20th @ the Little League Field on the girl's field (weather permitting).  In the event of inclement weather, tryouts will be held at the Elementary Center gym.
• 10am-Noon:  Boys 9-12 years old.
• Noon-2pm:  Girls 9-12 years old.
• Players should bring their own glove and wear spikes (outdoors) or sneakers (indoors).  Players also can bring their own bat but bats will be provided, if needed.
• Tryouts will consist of the following skills:
  • Hitting (pitches thrown by coach)
  • Fielding ground balls & throwing to 1st base.
  • Fielding pop-ups & throwing to 2nd base.

Little League Volunteers

• The MLL is always looking for upstanding men and women from our community to give their time and share their knowledge of the game to the youth in Minersville.
• Intersted individuals must do the following:
  • Complete a "Volunteer Application" (goto "Handouts").
  • Obtain a criminal background clearance check from the Pennsylvania State Police.  The check can be completed online thru the PSP website:   http://www.psp.state.pa.us/.  Make sure to print out the clearance "Certificate" which contains a PSP watermark.  The league cannot accept documentation which does not contain the watermark.
  • Return the application, driver's license and background certificate to any board member or team manager.

Little League & Softball Opening Day

• Sunday, April 11th

2nd Annual Baseball & Softball Skills Competition

• Saturday, May 15th.  Rain date:  Saturday, May 22nd.
• Registration:  Noon-1pm.  $5 per player.
• Boys and girls from ANY local little league from 9-12 years old are eligible to enter.
• Skills to be judged will include:
  • Hitting
  • Groundballs
  • Flyballs
  • Base running
• The league is considering adding a 7 & 8 year old division.

Little League Night Fireworks Collection

• Sunday, May 23rd from 6-8pm.
• Boys and girls from the little league and softball divisions will be out in the streets seeking donations for the annual fireworks display.
• Please be as generous as possible. 

Minor League TAG-day @ Walmart

• Friday & Sunday, June 4th & 6th at the St. Clair Walmart.

Section 3 Girls Softball Tournament (11-12)

• Only teams with 7 & 8 year old are eligible to enter.
