On behalf of the Minersville Little League Board of Directors, welcome to our league's official website. This site was established to provide little league officials, managers and coaches an easy and efficient means to communicate team and league information with parents, players, coaches, volunteers and the general public.

2017 Little League Registration



Registration for the 2017 Little League Season will be held on: Monday - January 30, Tuesday - January 31, Monday – February 6, and Tuesday – February 7, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 P.M. at the Minersville Fire Rescue Annex located at the intersection of Sunbury and 5th Street

Registration is open to boys born on or after May 1, 2004 through August 31, 2011 and girls born on or after January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2011 and live in the Minersville Area or attend a Minersville Area public or private school.  Players are to sign up for t-ball (age 6), minor division baseball and softball (ages 7 & 8),  major division baseball and softball (ages 9 - 12).

Registration fees for Major and Minor Divisions are $50.00 for the first child and $30.00 for any additional children residing in the same household.  T-Ball registration fee is $30.  What is required of the parent(s) at sign-up is a photo copy of the child’s birth certificate, medical release form, and 3 proofs of residency / or proof of school attendance for families who reside out of the Minersville Little League jurisdiction but attend Catholic or Private school in Minersville.

CHILD ABUSE CHECK



NEW UPDATE ..... CHILD ABUSE CHECK MUST be completed as part of your volunteer application.

For those of you volunteering as a team manager or coach (includes practice coaches), team mom/dad, umpire, grounds maintenance, board member, or any other position that would require you to be around the children daily. If you have a recent clearance from teaching or from other recent volunteer applications you can use submit that completed clearance. Those of you that don't have the certification you can go to the PA Child Welfare Portal and create an account to complete the check.

This is per PA Statue .... Section 6344.2 applies to an adult applying for or holding an unpaid position as a volunteer with a “program, activity or service”, as a person responsible for the welfare of a child or having direct volunteer contact with children. “Program, activity or service” is defined in part as a sports or athletic program in which children participate and which is sponsored by a school or a public or private organization.

Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers (PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, FAMILY FRIENDS) to manage and coach, espically T-ball and anyone with good knoweldge of the game to help umpire major division baseball and softball.  Also, each team is asked to have a Team MOM.  For those interested please visit the handout page link and fill out a form and complete a background check which is now FREE. 

Background checks are now a PA State Law for ALL that work with children.  This includes ALL sports, school, church, ect volunteers.

Please click the Volunteers link above to download an application and visit the links page to complete a PA State Police background check.

 Please bring the completed application, background check and a copy of a valid government issued photo identification (driver license or state ID) to registration.

FUNDRAISERS

Candy Fundraiser - One of the fundraisers is a candy bar fundraiser (one box per family) during the season. We understand economic times are difficult and have also learned that many families simply purchase the candy bars themselves. So parents are being offered a “buyout” opportunity at sign-up time ONLY. To opt out of selling candy bars, an additional $30.00 (per family) would be required at sign-up. Again, this "buyout" opportunity is ONLY available at the time you sign up your child(ren).

Basket Raffel (Chinese Auction) - The second fundraiser will be our SecondAannual Basket Raffel on Sunday, May 21 with shop and drop Saturday, May 20.  ALL teams will be asked to donate a basket.  We ask everyone to help by asking busineess for donations.  Also, volunteers are needed on both days to help with food and tickets stands.
