Geranium Fundraiser Information 2007
Milwaukee Sport Club is selling geraniums again this year! We are using Karthauser as our supplier again, which means the geraniums are going to be beautiful.   It was decided to add some products besides the geraniums and greens! We will now carry both “Sun and/or Shade Hanging Baskets and Patio Pots”. Do keep in mind the geraniums and green plants all come in pots approx. 4 inches, that is a question that comes up every year. The Hanging Baskets and Patio Pots are approximately 12” in diameter. Below are the specifics about the sale of the geraniums.

The MSC player should charge their customers $4.25 per plant. Hanging Baskets are being sold for $28.50 and Patio Pots are priced to sell at $29.95. Players should collect the money when they take the order from their customer. If the customer is writing a check they should make it out to the PLAYER not MSC!   The player will turn in ONE check for their entire order, made payable to MSC. They will submit the check to the person in charge of their teams order on the day of pick up, which is Friday, May 18th, 2007.   Pick up will be Friday, May 18th from 4:15 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. at the MSC pavilion.

The players need to call their managers with the total number of plants, per color or type, by Monday, April 16, 2007.

The managers will then email or mail their teams complete order forms to Denise Noggle at dnoggle@wi.rr.com or home address N63 W14815 Mineola Dr, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051.

Each team needs 2 representatives at MSC by 2:45 p.m. (behind the restaurant) to help unload the truck.    Volunteers should bring a pair of gloves . Your representatives will need to sort your teams order down by color. If the representatives have time they can sort their orders down by player if they’d like. The representative, or any parent from your team, needs to stay until ALL your plants are picked up by your team members between 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Friday, May 18th. If they can not make that pick up time they need to make arrangements on their own as to who will pick up for them!

The manager or team rep will need to turn their team's payments in on the day of pick up before leaving the event, in an envelope provided, to Denise Noggle.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS FUNDRAISER A HUGH SUCCESS!

Volunteer Opportunities
With membership to MSC comes responsibility to ensure the longevity of the club. Members are expected to volunteer at least twelve (12) hours at MSC events. This policy is part of our by-laws and is a relatively easy way to support the club. Below is a list of opportunities to help fulfill this requirement. Please use the family membership form to communicate how you will satisfy your volunteer requirement and help us to plan our staffing needs at each event. Each member or representative of a family who takes a shift will count toward that family's requirement. All hours are accumulated from July 1 through June 30.

As one of the biggest fundraisers for the club, the only required volunteerism is a shift in the concession stand at the MSC Youth Tournament held the weekend after Labor Day. The volunteer scheduling committee tries to work shifts around game times for the teams. PLEASE be available to work the shift you are assigned or find a replacement. However, all other volunteer opportunities during the weekend (selling apparel and raffle tickets, field marshalling, registration, help desk) will count toward your volunteer hours. The volunteer schedulers for the tournament have a sign-up sheet for these opportunities.

The following volunteer opportunities can be used toward reaching the twelve hour requirement:

- Germanfest (6 hrs/shift)
- Peter Becker Tournament/Oktoberfest (5 hrs/shift)
- Indoor Set Up (6 hrs)
- Indoor Take Down (6 hrs)
- Geranium Truck Unload (2 hrs)
- Wreath Truck Unload (2 hrs)
- Field Maintenance (grass cutting, fertilizing, lining; hrs vary)
- Summer Picnic (4 hrs)
- MSC Social Activities (Card Party, Dinner Dance, Picnic, Elections, and Christmas Party)
- Team jobs for which your manager needs assistance

MSC Fundraisers
Milwaukee Sport Club offers fundraisers for those who may require assistance with the payment of annual fees. Funds raised by each player may be applied toward these fees. Each year MSC holds a Wreath sale in November and a Geranium sale in May.
