Messege from Coach Dave;
Once again this year, the Broncos are off to a great start. The flag are 2-0, 5/6 are 1-1 and the 7/8 are 2-0. All of the players have been practing very hard for the past few weeks and the team records prove that. Good luck to all teams as the flag team will travel to Essex this week, and both the 5/6 & 7/8 will be traveling to Oxbow for a 10am and noon kick off. This was scheduled as a bye week for us, but we have decided to travel down and play the Bradford Bulldogs welcoming them to our league as they are our newest member. Directions to the field will be handed out this week during practice.
The annual jamboree once again was a huge sucess this year. I would like to thank each and every person that offered a helping hand, especially the Milton Broncos boosters. This is a huge committment and could never be done without the countless hours and endless efforts of the boosters prior to the season even starting.
Thanks to all of the parents who dedicated thier time to make this another great year at the jamboree.
Head Coach,
Dave Burbo

Ø Flag level
This level consist of mainly 2nd,3rd,4th graders, although the last few years we have seen an increase in younger children expressing their interest in the sport. I would like to extend the offer to the younger children in 1st grade to come out and give it a shot if they are interested. We typically have enough on the team to split things up and have two teams (younger & older). We do this because we want the children to have the best possible experience, to grow and learn with children that are their own age and size. Even though it is called flag football, there is still a fair amount of contact throughout practice and games. Safety is always first and we will do whatever we can to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Ø 5th & 6th tackle
This level consist of 5th & 6th graders. This is the first year of tackle. At this level the coaching staff expect the children to become much more focused and practices are much more disciplined. There are still many restrictions at this level, but everyone of them is to keep the kids as safe as possible. The entire league spends a lot of time focusing on safety during the season as well as off season. As coaches we must keep the children focused on the fundamentals and proper techniques. Although the practices may seem very disciplined, it is for the safety of your children. I can guarantee you that your children will have plenty of fun and will continue to talk about football even after the season is over.
Ø 7th & 8th tackle
This level consist of 7th & 8th graders. This program is set up the same way as the 5th, 6th season, but with less restrictions allowing the children to have the full football experience. Again, there are still restrictions in place to ensure that safety is always first. At this level the game play increases and everything is much faster. We still focus a lot on the fundamentals and help prepare all of the children towards a happy and successful high school football experience.
This year we are looking into the possibility of purchasing some new helmets. These new helmets are specificly designed to help prevent concusions. Although you can never have 100% protection from a concussion, we try to do whatever we can to keep your children as safe as possible. These helmets aren't a guarantee, but I feel that every little bit helps. Please take a look at the website listed below and let me know your thoughts.
There is a new Album on the site from Shawn Corrow at Cold Hollow Photograpy. The group picture was done at a great distance on portray's the vast number of player's that attended this year's Jamboree. He will be making more pictures available in the near future that can be purchased at the low discounted price of $.99 per picture. We will pass on this information once it is available.
