Millville Girls Softball League is a recreational fastpitch softball league established for girls, age 4-16, residing in the city of Millville and including nearby Lawrence Township, Commercial township and Maurice River Township. Our softball fields are located in the Rob Shannon Sports Complex which is located on Cedar Street in Millville. MGSL is a non-profit organization, affiliated with Babe Ruth Softball, through the Millville Department of Parks and Public Property, and is guided by the Babe Ruth softball rules and regulations. MGSL strives to develop and maintain a program of friendly competition with the goal of educating players about teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and integrity. The purpose of the Millville Girls Softball League is to provide healthy, structured, and sportsmanlike recreational activity while teaching the necessary skills set to play fast pitch softball. Our softball program of forty years has a strong foundation made possible by many dedicated volunteers. Through the years, we have won numerous District, State and Regional Championships, along with a World Series Championship in 1999. In 2000, we hosted the World Series tournament and earned second place.
