Millis Flag Football

Established 2006 

 The Millis Flag Football Club, in conjunction with the Millis Recreation Department, offers flag football to residents of Millis and area towns! 

Congratulations to all of the players and coaches for a great second season!  We hope everyone had a great time! 

Thanks to all of the coaches for their time and dedication!  Thanks also to our parents for their support!

Flag Football will be back for our third season in the fall of 2008!  Registration is now closed.  Registration will open for one final time on August 1st.  It will be open for a week. 

We will email participants with dates and times for evaluations. 

If you have a request to be on a team with a friend we ask that you email those requests to us when you register.  Please limit your request to one per child.  Please remind us of your request at evaluations.

This year we anticipate having the following age groups:

5 & 6 Year Olds
7 & 8 Year Olds
9 to 11 Year Olds
12 to 14 Year Olds

All teams will be co-ed.  Please tell your friends about this program!  The more kids we have the more fun they have!

Please plan on bringing your child's birth certificate to the first evaluation.  No child will be placed on a team without a birth certificate on file.
 
Sweatshirts:  Please contact Chip to pick up your sweatshirt(s)!

SEASON INFORMATION!

Games will start promptly at half past each hour and will end at :20 past each hour.  Cooperation by everyone will help our program to run on time!

COACHES:  Please email your game scores to MillisFlag@comcast.net!  Thanks!

ALL players MUST wear internal mouthpieces for all games and practices.  Please refer to the NFL Flag Football rules at:

 Pre-season Scrimmage:  We will have a pre-season scrimmage on Saturday, September 6th.  The season will start a week later on Saturday, September 13th.

Do I need to verify my child's age:  Yes.  Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate to the first evaluation.

What if I don't register by June 30, 2008?:  We cannot guarantee a space for your child!  We may not have equipment for your child in time for the start of the season!  No further registration is planned.

We are looking for referees (high school students encouraged) and coaches.  Referees should contact the recreation department or email millisflag@comcast.net with a subject line of "Referee".

If you want to coach please email millisflag@comcast.net with a subject line of "Coach".  We will acknowledge your email, email you a coaching application and contact you in August to help with evaluations!

The season will start on Saturday, September 13th. The teams will play an eight game schedule, weather permitting.
