Clarification on Gym permits
As a point of information, use of permit time at school gyms is open ONLY to league registered players under the supervision of APPROVED coaches. All usage must be initially cleared with the league President. In using the gym time without this approval, participants are NOT covered under Little League insurance policy. Sunday, November 27
Softball Clinic for Pitchers & Catchers
SOFTBALL CLINIC FOR PITCHERS & CATCHERS There will be pitching and catching clinic for girls ages 8, 9, and 10 (age as of Dec 31, 2011). The clinic will be run by MILL coaches as well as pitchers and catchers from our past LI Championship teams. Clinic Dates: December 14, 21, January 4, 11 Time: 7pm-8:30pm Cost: $15 per player per session All players participating in this clinic MUST be registered for the Spring 2012 Little League season. In-person registration for the 2012 season will take place December 2nd & 3rd. NEW BAT REGULATIONS FOR 2012 Little League International has updated information on bat requirements for the 2012 Little League seaon. Please go to their site for current bat regulations.
Liitle Miss Little League....
Little Miss Little League 2011 Rebecca Sunshine is halfway through her reign as Little Miss Little League 2011. She was crowned prior to the season, and has appeared at the Opening Day Parade & Ceremony, and recently was spotted at Massapequa International's annual Awards Dinner. Rebecca will wear her crown until the 2012 Pageant in the spring. Unless of course, she is wearing her Dodger uniform.

We would like to keep our little league families informed on MILL events, clinics, rainouts, field changes, etc. Please join our email list. PLEASE NOTE: If you have 'blocked' certain correspondence from your inbox, you may not receive our emails even if you sign up. Please check your settings. After you click 'Join' you will receive an email from MILL asking you to update some information. This information will help the league direct emails to you as needed. On occasion we will pass along community information through this system to our MILL families. This list and all information will be maintained and kept by Massapequa International Little League using the Constant Contact program. No information will be distributed to other individuals.

No more composite bats in Little League Baseball
Effective Immediately Moratorium on Composite Bats in Little League Baseball. On December 30, 2010 a letter was sent out by Little League International in S.Williamsport, Pennsylvania stating,
"Little League International has placed a moratorium on the use of composite bats in the Little League (Majors) Division and all other baseball divisions of Little League, effective immediately." These new bat restrictions do NOT apply to Little League Softball.
