2008 Fall Baseball
2008 Fall Baseball Registration
Jr and Sr Ripken
Milford Youth Baseball will be once again offering fall baseball to Milford residents that will be ages 9-12 as of the start of next spring season. (April 30, 2009)
The program will be divided into two groups:
Junior Ripken Fall Ball
Boys and Girls 9 or 10 years old as of 4/30/09
Senior Ripken Fall Ball
Boys and Girls 11 or 12 as of 4/30/09
Both levels of fall ball will focus on skill development and instruction but the Senior Ripken Fall Ball program will also play games against teams outside of Milford against neighboring communities.
A walk in registration will be held on Saturday, August 9th at the Rosenfeld Clubhouse from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

Milford Babe Ruth 2008 Fall Ball Program
Details:
* Prep Division is 2008 League Age 12 and 13 year olds
Prep Fall Ball Mission:
Skills that are taught the new players include:
* Adapting to the larger field ( 60' Pitching, 90' Basepaths),
including running, fielding / throwing, and positional play.
* Leading, Stealing ( and getting back) and general baserunning stratiegies, including dropped 3rd strike.
* Pitching- Adapting to the 60' distance, balks, Pitching from
the stretch vs Windup, holding baserunners on.
* Batting skills, Slashing/Bunting. Remember- a Home Run in
CalRipken is usually just a long flyout in Babe Ruth!!
Players who participate in the Fall League have a distinct advantage when they play in the spring in the highly competitive 495 Babe Ruth League since they have competed in and have been coached on the basic skills of this level of baseball. Sportsmanship, Learning and having Fun is the best part of this League.
* Batting skills, Slashing/Bunting. Remember- a Home Run in

* Majors Division is 2008 League Age 14 and 15 year olds
* Season starts Sept 13 and runs 7 weeks
* All teams play one game Sat & one game Sun
* No standings, no rainout makeups
* 2 hour time limit per game
