The Mercer Island Girls Lacrosse program serves Mercer Island's lacrosse community by providing an opportunity for girls in grades 1-12 to play lacrosse in an environment that promotes sportsmanship, lacrosse skills, personal growth and the camaraderie that team athletics provide.
2010 Registration
Please check the respective website pages (Elementary, Middle School, or High School) for updated info. Registration is closed for Elementary and Middle School; MIHS registration closes February 5th.

Lacrosse Coaching Opportunities
Mercer Island High School – JV Assistant Coach
Mercer Island High School has an opening for a JV Assistant coach for the upcoming season, beginning late February/early March 2010. The Mercer Island lacrosse program is well-established, fielding three successful high school teams. You would be working alongside other outstanding coaches with a strong & supportive booster club.
MIHS JV Assistant Coaching hours:
- Practices: After school from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.
- Games: Generally mid-week (game times to be determined).
Mercer Island – 7/8 and 5/6 Coaches
The Mercer Island Girls Lacrosse League (middle school) has openings for both a 7/8 and 5/6 coach for the upcoming season beginning, February 23, 2010. This is a terrific opportunity for someone interested in working with a strong developmental program with dedicated players and families!
7/8 & 5/6 Coaching Hours:
- Practices: Tuesday & Thursday 4:15 – 6:00 pm plus a 4:30-5:30 pm Friday scrimmage (Friday scrimmage is still pending final approval from city)
- Games: Generally on the weekends, but sometimes mid-week.
Mercer Island – Elementary Coaches
The Mercer Island Girls Lacrosse League Elementary Program has openings for both a 3rd/4th grade and 1st/2nd grade coach for the March - May 2010 season. This is a terrific opportunity for someone interested in joining a strong developmental program with dedicated players and families!
3rd/4th Coaching hours:
- Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:15-6:00 pm.
- Games: Saturdays at various times and locations in the Seattle area.
1st/2nd Coaching hours:
- Practices: Tuesdays 4:15-6:00 pm.
- Games: Sundays 11:30am - 1:00pm at Islander Middle School.

All Player Dinner February 28
The all player dinner for MIHS Girls Lax is scheduled for February 28th, 6pm, at the Mercer Island Beach Club. More details to follow; mark the date!
Friday, February 5
Ned Bowen's All Out Lacrosse Clinic - February 13
This camp is for boys and girls of all levels. Walk ups are welcome! This is a 3 hour clinic, focusing on speed, agility, conditioning, stick work and game situation. It will be held at Marymoor Park Turf; cost is $60 ($50 if part of group of 3). Register online or print out form and register as a walk up. MIHS Girls Lax Registration Information
Both Club Registration and MIHS Registration forms will be needed to complete registration as lacrosse is a club sport. Required forms are included in the handout below. Forms must be submitted no later than February 5th.

Beginning Players Clinic February 20
Girls' Lacrosse Beginning Players' Clinic will be held at Ballard High School on February 20th. The clinic is geared towards first and second year players; the morning session is for grades 5-8 and the afternoon session is for grades 9-12.
