MIDWEST PENGUINS MISSION STATEMENT

The Midwest Penguins volleyball club is a member of the Badger Region, aimed at offering a high quality, reasonably priced, competitive volleyball program for young athletes ages 10-18. We view ourselves as partners with our participants, their families, our staff, our community, the Badger Region, and USA Volleyball. The Midwest Penguins emphasize teamwork, skill development, leadership, personal growth, endurance building, and fun. Our goal is moderate growth, while maintaining a high standard of excellence within our club.

NATIONALS HERE WE COME!!!

Miami Florida!!
17-1 Team has earned a bid to Nationals and will be competing in the American Division.
Competition will take place the last week of June 2009. 

The 17-1 team will be working hard in the weeks ahead to raise $300 each to attend the Junior Olympic National Championships.  Here is what is coming...

5/30/09 Saturday  CAR WASH AT MOE'S SOUTHWEST GRILL in Pewaukee.
Time 9am-2pm  Located 1345 Capitol Drive  (on Capitol Drive, just West of Hwy J, Walmart & McDonalds accross the street.)  Athletes, coaches, and parents will scrub your car clean for a donation!!

6/9/09  Tuesday YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CLINIC AT CENTER COURT, WAUKESHA.
Time 6pm-8pm.  Donation is $20.00
Attend this special night and be coached by the Midwest Penguins 17-1 National team and other coaches.  We will breakdown skills, perform several drills that reinforce proper technique, and PLAY!!!   There will be other surprises too.. FUN!!  Call 262-970-9943 to sign up, or email us, or print the attached entry form for more details and mail in advance.  See you on the courts!!   Grades 4-8  boys and girls!  See attached flyer.

Palermo pizza's will also be sold.  There are several choices on the menu.  If interested, we will have an athelete call you.  Please drop us an email penguin@midwestpenguins.com and proceeds will go to the team!

Candy Bars will also be sold by the athletes for $1.00.

AFFORDABLE & FUN SUMMER VOLLEYBALL CAMP SESSIONS :
Dates:   July 20-23 (Mon-Thurs)  At Center Court  $65 for the week
Dates:   Aug 10-13 (Mon-Thurs)  At Pewaukee High School  $55 for the week

Dynamics:  Each session will be designed to improve the participant’s passing, attacking, setting, and serving skills, as well as their physical endurance.  In addition, athletes will be instructed on different offensive and defensive systems.  The program will consist of drills, games, and scrimmages each day. 

ELITE / ALL SKILLS TRAINING SESSIONS:

Dates:   Aug 10-13 (Mon-Thurs) At Center Court  $20 each day

Dynamics:  Attend a specialized skill session that will breakdown the skill, perform repetitive drills to reinforce proper technique, and then execute the entire specific skill set in drills.  We play each day!!

Drills & Intro to Club Information
Audience: High school and experienced middle school athletes
Instructors: Janice Siebert & Anne Slattery

Session will organize skill instruction, perform many drills, and play.
We will introduce Badger Region, club options, and answer questions.
Participation limited to 40 Athletes each night

Audience: Grade School or other athletes that are interested in participating in club.

Session will educate athletes and parents about Badger Region and club volleyball, answer common questions, answer your questions, and athletes will particpate in skills and drills on the court during the session. (Parents encouraged to stay)
