Mid State Wrestling League: Welcome
Welcome to the Mid State Wrestling League site. This site is for the nine teams involved in a Middle School age wrestling league in Central Connecticut. The nine teams are: Berlin, Bristol, Cheshire, Hartford, Meriden, Newington, Plainville, Southington and Wethersfield.
Mission Statement:To establish a venue that middle-school age wrestlers in the Central Connecticut area can compete. To improve their abilities and better prepare them for the high school level. To have a forum to develop match skills, team building attitudes, and sportsmanship. All in an effort to increase the participation and level of wrestling competition throughout our area of the state.
Focus on fun- (ex.)-uniforms, pre-match warm-ups (with music), league champion t-shirts, all-conference designations, win-loss career record keeping, team banquets, match d.v.d.s, etc.
Focus on sportsmanship- elect team captains, set team conduct rules, learn to win and lose
Focus on goal setting- participation, all- league, league champions

It has been reported that due to low numbers the Plainville team will not be able to compete in the Mid State League this year. Contact Rusty to confirm this until further notice.

If you are in middle school and interested in wrestling on a competitive team, contact the coach of the team listed closest to your home.
