2009 Summer Meets
The summer meets are posted on the calendar. They are being held at Lindale Middle School in Anne Arundel County. Its near the airport, on Andover Road. The rain dates for each will be the next day, which is a Friday which is not a great day to cross the bridge. The meets usually have 50-150 people, ages 5-60+. Sometimes you will have good competition in your age group, and somedays you may be the only one in your age group. They run races by age groups mostly but will combine to make a full heat. They do not follow the high school order of events, but the do have almost all the running and field events. The cost last year was $5-$10 depending on age with HS age $8 for as many events as you want to do.

Summer track 2009
Summer track 2009 has begun. It is open to all people, all ages, all abilities. Practices are generally at NCHS track and begin at 6:30pm. We will provide structured workouts if you want or you can do your own. We will help you with any event or work on individual details. The coaches are also there to train themselves. This is a track club that is here mostly to provide a place and time to extend your track season with others who wish to do the same thing. There is no guarantee how many people show up each day or even if the coaches will be there. It is summertime and people's plans can change at the last minute. Check the web site before you leave for the track for any updates. We will not practice if it is raining or during thunderstorm activity. Use your own judgement. If you are the only one at the track then either practice was cancelled or everyone had other plans. We will post as many meets as we can find. Transportation to the meets is your responsibilty, sorry this is not a funded club. The meets usually have a small fee $3-$10 - again you are responsible - sorry. Nationals 2007
Both Whiteley and MP competed in the Masters National Championship Meet this year. MP competed for the first time in shot, disc, javelin, and lead off leg of the 4x100, She brought home 2 - 6th places, a 4th place and a silver medal in the relay. Whiteley competed in the penthalon, placing 4th and achieving All American staus for the total points scored, he also copeted in the 100,200, javelin, disc, high jump, triple jump, 4x100, and 4x400. He collected a few 4ths, 6ths, a bronze in triple jump, a silver medals in both relays.

TRACK RENAVATION
Due to track renavation at the high school practices will be held at Lockerman Middle School. This renavation should be during about the 1st two weeks of June.
Practice
Please check the web site each day before practice. If there is a last minute change to Whiteley's schedule and he can not make practice he will post it by 5pm that day. Also any changes to location or time will be posted. You may still workout if you want. Remember we will not workout in the rain, we may change the time if severe weather will be around for most of the evening. Practice will usually last till 7:30pm or about 1 hour. There will be some morning practices this year - so make sure you check the calendar for times. You may workout at the track any time you wish. The club dates and times are posted for group practices to have some people to run with. Whiteley will also be available for coaching and questions. You can do your own workouts or try new ones. Summer is the time to work on things that you do not have time for during the school year. You can also try new events - because it is your time and you may do any events that you want in the meets over the summer.
Uniforms for 2007
We will be getting uniforms this year. They will be sleveless T's.
Black and yellow. You provide the shorts - again black or yellow.
They will be screened on front and back. They will be $15. We will also be setting up for screening if you want Under Armor screened.You provide the shirt - we will get it screened.

Indoor Nationals
Whiteley ran at the Reggie Lewis center in Boston at the end of March. He placed 4th in long jump, 4th in the 200m, 5th in high jump, 7th in the 400, and was part of the 2nd place 4x400 relay. The facility was great, mondo surface with banked turns. The meet was run very well also. Whiteley is also a member of the SoCal( southern california)track club and the team won the national title for the third year in a row.
