The Midland Tribe starts off the year winning the Fairfield Chiefs Spring Tournament. We went 2-1 in pool play with the fewest runs allowed to obtain the number one seed going into championship play. We played a tough Fairfield Chiefs coming back in the last inning to win 7-6 before heading on to the championship. We then had a combination of solid hitting and great pitching to win the championship over the Ohio Heat 12-5. GREAT START TRIBE!!! Friday September the 7th the Midland Tribe attended the Cincinnati Reds game. The Reds won 11-4. The evening started with a limo ride to the game. In the bottom of the 3rd inning the Reds officially announced the Tribe by displaying the team and each players name on the scoreboard. Finally the boys were picked up in a "Hummer" limo for the ride home. Special thanks go out to Mrs. Ealy for the tickets to the game, Mr. Riley for both Limo's and Mrs. Briggs for providing the scoreboard announcement. Please click on the "Albums" link for additional photos of the evening!
