Little League has placed a moratorium on composite bats for Junior League Baseball and above. This has more to do with the carbon fiber in the bat breaking down, both thru legal and illegal means. These bats are also not allowed in high school or NCAA games. A waiver process for manufacturers may be allowed. The normal three year window on changing equipment is not being followed as these bats can become "hot" and the balls speed of the bat increase to unsafe levels.

Thank you to Dean Arbor Ford of Alpena. They provided the umpires that went to District Six to umpire the 9/10 State a courtsey van. Much easier then driving in a car. Thanks again.

The IRS is checking up on youth sports groups. All leagues have been emailed a statement on reporting. A league could loose non-profit status if this is not filed.
Also make sure that people like groundskeepers, umpires and concession workers meet the requirments as contracters, not employees, so a league would not have to pay taxes on them.
