DISTRICT 1 UMPIRES ASSOCIATION
The association meets occasionally throughout the off season. Members are used for District Tournaments and discuss the possibility of State, Regional or World Series involvement. Saturday, March 25
Umpire Clinics Coming Up
The 2006 Umpire Clinics that are already scheduled are as follows: APRIL 8 - 9:00 to 12:30 Coleman Library and Little League Fields APRIL 15 - 9:30 to 1:30 Farwell Little League Complex APRIL 22 - 10:00 to 2:00 or later Union Township Hall and Fields The Coleman and Farwell clinics will include classroom and video classroom work and some field positioning work. The Union Township Clinic will include the same along with live scrimmage work. Saturday, March 25
Thanks to the Best
We handled two State Tournaments in 2005, 11 year olds and the Juniors. Again, there were absolutely no complaints on umpiring in either tournament. As Mark, Jim and I have always known, District One Umpires are as good as they get. Thanks guys for anouther great job. Monday, February 14
State Tournaments
District 1 will be hosting two State Tournaments during 2005. Fraternal/NW Midland Little League will be hosting the 11 year old tournment July 22nd through July 27th. There will be 8 games at 10:30, 1:00, 3:30, and 6:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (two games during each time slot), 4 games on Monday at 10:30, 1:00, 3:30, and 6:00, 2 games on Tuesday at 10:30 and 1:00 and the Championship on Wednesday at 10:30. Midland Association will be hosting the Juniors at Northwood University. The dates and times are yet to be determined. Umpires, we are going to need quite a few of you for this, so prepare yourselves. Thanks and have a great regular season. See you at Districts. |
