The Mayhem are back!  The Middlesex Mayhem are making their much anticipated return to semi-pro football as a part of the New England Football League for the 2007 season. The Mayhem will play in the North Atlantic Conference (AA), Pioneer Division of the NEFL and will be based out of Chelmsford, MA.

Game Recap: North Shore Generals @ Middlesex Mayhem, 10/6/2007

The Mayhem finished the regular season with an 18-6 victory over the Northshore Generals in Chelmsford, Mass.  The Generals were undefeated coming into the game, and were heavily favored to win.  The Mayhem, however, proved to be more than the Generals could handle.  The Mayhem were able to score from all three phases of the game.  Captain Dave Leach was able to lead the offense on a scoring drive in the first quarter, as well as drives in the second and fourth quarters that resulted in field goals by Pascal Kermarrec.  Captains Kevin Delaney, Jim Levesque and Michael Smith successfully led a dominating defensive effort that caused numerous turn-overs and scored the second touchdown of the game during the second quarter.  The win pushed the Mayhem into the third seed of the Pioneer Division.  The Mayhem (3) will travel to the Mill City Maulers (2) on October 20 to face the 8-2 Maulers in the first round of the playoffs.
