Middlebury Aquatic Club: Welcome

Located in Middlebury, VT, the Middlebury Aquatic Club was founded in Fall of 2007 in an effort to provide and develop year-round, competitive swimming for youth in Central and Southern Vermont. 

The vision of the Middlebury Aquatic Club is to prepare, inspire, and enable its swimmers to achieve success and excellence in both the sport of swimming and in life.  

The mission of the Middlebury Aquatic Club is to provide every swimmer with fun, innovative, and sometimes challenging swimming opportunities.  We value every swimmer and strive to develop their technique, dedication, and personal excellence.  

The Middlebury Aquatic Club (MAC) offers an organized age-group swimming program for children from 5 years of age and up.  We meet the needs of all swimmers, from beginner to advanced, by following a progressive, developmental model that fosters excellence and commitment to the team.  We want each swimmer to achieve the best that s/he is able to.  As a member of the Middlebury Aquatic Club, a swimmer learns the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.  Additionally, a MAC swimmer will be empowered with physical, emotional, and intellectual skills that will last a lifetime. 

We compete throughout the New England area. During the winter season (September – February) we practice at the Middlebury College Natatorium and compete in USA Swimming sanctioned events.  During the summer season (late May – August) we are part of the Champlain Valley Swim League and Vermont Swim Association and practice at the Middlebury Town Pool. 

WHY SWIM?  We are a USA Swimming Club team in the New England LSC (Local Swim Club).  USA Swimming is the governing body for competitive swimming in the United States.  The USA Swimming age group program is one of America’s largest organized fitness activity for children.  Age group swimming teaches healthy fitness habits from a young age, enabling participants to build a strong foundation for a lifetime of good health.  USA Swimming is comprised of swimmers of all ability levels - from age group clubs, such as ours, to Olympic swimmers, such as Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin.  Become part of America's swim team!

TEAM SUIT ORDER INFORMATION

To create an account for the site, enter a user name and password in the grey box that is in the middle of the screen.  This will take you to a page that prompts you to enter your name and address.  From this page you will be taken to the team order page.  Once you have created your user name and password you can go back to the site at any time and enter your information in the grey box in the upper left hand corner.  If you have created a username and password in the past, you will not need to create a new one.

Suits will be available for try-on on the following dates:

5/17 - 6-7pm at Info & Registration Session at Municipal Gym

5/22 - 5-5:30pm at Cup Trial Night at Middlebury College Natatorium

5/24 - 5-7:30pm at Mass Registration at Municipal Gym 

6/4 - 6-7:30pm at First Day of Preseason, Middlebury College Natatorium

Team Caps (pink or blue) and Mesh Gear Bags (assorted colors) will be available for $10 ea at the meeting - caps are currently not on the online team order site until we have sold all our stock caps.

NEW THIS SUMMER!  If a swimmer chooses to wear a swim cap at meets, it MUST be a team cap.  We currently have pink and blue silicone caps in stock for $10.  Once these have sold out they will be available to order from Metro Swim Shop.
