A special “Thank You” goes out to all the Michigan Mustang PARENTS from all of our teams who stepped it up and helped us get ready for the new season. YOU helped organize rides...made hotel accommodations...found team sponsors and got involved with our fundraisers. This season you'll washed a never ending amount of uniforms, take lots of pictures (which will be display throughout our site)...root us on to victory and pick us up in defeat…and in general, will be there, when we come calling. Please take pride in knowing that our success as an organization is your success too! TRYOUT UPDATE: THE MICHIGAN MUSTANGS-18U Tryouts will be held on SUN. SEPT. 13th 2009 @ SALINE H.S. VARSITY FIELD from 2-4:30 pm. We are looking to fill positions on our 2010--18U Travel Team. Tryout/Med. Release form available under the Handout section. Please fill out and either email or bring to the tryouts. (Arrive 1/2 hr. prior to start time) Please send confirmation email if planning on attending tryout to: CoachTPoole@gmail.com Send all questions to the same email address!
18U & 16U MUSTANGS finish season strong with three tournament wins! The 18U Michigan Mustangs won the West Bloomfield Diamond Classic Tournament while the 16U Mustangs captured back to back tournament wins...taking 1st place at the Bridgeport Hardball Classic and the Durand Summer Classic...GREAT job players...coaches and parents!
Congratulations to the Michigan Mustangs 10U TEAM - first place winners of the Grand Haven Invitational Tournament
The 10U Mustangs won the Grand Haven Classic Tour.--June 20 & 21st... ...said coach Scott Barret "We played excellent defense (error-free through the first 3 games) and came from behind in the championship game to beat a good Grand Rapids North team...we were 4-1 overall" NICE JOB 10U & 13U MUSTANG PLAYERS & COACHES!!! 10U MUSTANGS win another one...The 10U Michigan Mustangs are the 2009 Riverview Baseball InvitationalChampions!! After beating Belleville 13-1 in the semi-finals on Sunday, July 12th, the boys fell behind in the finals to the Hurricanes 3-1. Good pitching kept the Mustangs in the game until the bottom of the 7th inning when the offense came alive and made a dramatic comeback, winning 4-3. The team finished 5-0 for the tournament. What a great game and weekend!!!!!!!
Congratulations to the 13U boys first place winners of the Pinckney Invitational Tournament!! They played hard, finishing 5 games undefeated at the Pinckney Pirates Invitational Tournament. The championship game ended after a 4 inning mercy!! Way to go, Mustangs!!
MICHIGAN MUSTANGS ACADEMY
The Michigan Mustangs Academy is open to ALL Mustang teams from Oct.--April and it serves as an ideal winter workout/teaching facility. Mustang TEAMS and COACHES come together and share ideas and work on each of their player’s individual game. This time, along with TEAM time secured with area H.S. and Middle school gyms, helps to build team unity and camaraderie months in advance of stepping between the white lines as a TEAM...for the upcoming season!

To provide a quality program and opportunity for top baseball players from Washtenaw County and the surrounding area, at all age levels, to team with players who are not only interested in becoming the best individual baseball player they can be but also realize the importance and how much FUN it is accomplishing it under and within a TEAM FIRST approach and atmosphere. Players benefit from a program that is committed and strives to expose its players to the highest quality standards of baseball coaching, team play and competition. Our Coaching staffs are not only committed to strengthening their player’s fundamental baseball knowledge and playing ability but also know the importance for each of their player’s to gain in area’s of self-esteem, confidence and that inner motivation to work hard every time they step on the field. Ultimately, as a program, our goal is to build a reputation that’s known for teaching players to play the game of baseball “the way it was meant to be played” while at all times representing our program and the travel baseball world as a whole… in a first class manner! |
