Wednesday, May 24 Welcome to the home of The Michigan Batbusters! The Michigan Batbusters Fastpitch 18/u Team is a collection of the finest female fastpitch players from various cities in Southeastern Michigan. Sunday, February 17 2008 High School Grad, signings Congratulations to our 2008 High School Graduates and their signing to continue their softball career while gaining a top education: Hilary Payne, Canton HS, signed by University of Loyola Becca Ryan, Divine Child, signed by Wayne State University Olivia Cook, Country Day HS, signed by Washington Univ (St. Louis) Jackie Barley, Tecumseh HS, verbal to a top D1 school, University Of Michigan. Each of these fine young woman join our 2007 grads that signed at top schools, see below. As always, we are very proud of all that each of you have accomplished through your hard work, dedication, committment, both on the field and in the classroom!!!!!
Wednesday, August 15 2007--18/U "A" ASA and NSA State Champs!!!! The Michigan Batbusters 18/U team completed the 2007 season with their usual performance being crowned champions of both the ASA and NSA "A" State titles. With their season ending 2006 USSSA State title, the 18/U team won all three State titles in a row, a feat never accomplished before by any team in Michigan. The 18/U team took their titles and performance to the 2007 18/U ASA Nationals in Texas and finished in the top third of the 136 of the best 18/U teams in the nation. Congratulations to the 18/U team, another very fine year!!!! In the largest State Championship in Michigan, the Bate team, which consists of 11 of 12 players who could play 16/U this year, defeated Finesse 5-2 to capture the 2006 USSSA State Championship. The Bate team defeated NWO Lady Irish 1-0 in the quaterfinals, then Bay City Classics 5-4 in the semi's to set up the championship game against Finesse who defeated the Michigan Bulldogs (Nemitz team) 3-0 in the other semi.
