Michigan District 6 Lttle League Baseball Inc: Welcome

   This is the first notice of the election for District Administrator. Any volunteer who wishes to run for the District 6 Administrator's job please e-mail District Chairman Leonard Krapp at krappe949@comcast.net  Nominations and election will be held at the 2010 April presidents meeting. Place and time to be determined. You may also contact Leonard with any questions reguarding the job functions.

District 6 Assistant District Administrator for Challenger Baseball, Marilyn Whitstock was awarded the International Challenger award at the Little League World Series in Williamsport on August 27, 2009.

District Administrator

The 2009-2010 Michigan District 6 Appointments of district officers was approved at the November Presidents meeting. District Administrator Ron DeCoopman is pleased and excited with his staff for the upcoming Little League season in District 6.

Those appointed and approved are:

 Mr. Len Krapp-Assistant District Administrator District Chairman, Len has served Little League for many years as a coach, manager and official. Serving as President of Harper Woods Little League for many years before joining Macomb Township Little League as Vice President and was instrumental in the forming of Macomb and affiliating with Little League Len has served as an assistant district administrator since 2004.

 Mr. Mark Vought-Assistant District Administrator-Little League, Mark has been a part of Little League for over 20 years in both the Harper Woods Little League, Clinton Valley Little League and Macomb Township Little League serving as that league's first President. Mark has been an assistant district administrator since 2007.

 Ms. Aimee Davis-Assistant District Administrator-Junior Baseball. Aimee has been a volunteer in the Grosse Pointe Farms City Little League for several years serving her league in many officed including President. Aimee has been an assistant district administrator since 2008.

 Mr. Marty Peters-Assistant District Administrator-Senior League Baseball. Marty has served in many capacities on the board of directors of the Grosse Pointe Woods Shores Little League for many years, Marty joined the district as an assistant district administrator in 2008.

Mr. Don Symons-Assistant District Administrator-Big League Baseball. Don has been a part of little league for over 15 years, serving the Harper Woods Little League and Macomb Township Little Leagues in various positions. He has served the last two years as the District Secretary before accepting the posisiton of assistant district administrator for the upcoming season.

 Mr. John Bobak-Assistant District Administrator-Softball. John currently is the director of recreation for the city of Harper Woods and serves as President of the Harper Woods, Grosse Pointe Softball Little League. John has served as an assistant district administrator since 2006

Mr. Chris DeCoopman-Treasurer. Chris currently serves the Lac St. Clair Little League and has been a volunteer in Little League for many years, including as an umpire for various leagues around the district. Chris has served as treasuer since 2004

Mrs. Nani DeCoopman-Secretary. Nani currently serves the Lac St. Clair Little League as a volunteer coach and board member. She joins the district staff in 2009.

Mr. Rob Rochon-District Safety Officer & Umpire in chief. Rob has been with the district since 2004 taking over the duties of Ron DeCoopman, when Ron was appointed District Administrator in May 2004. Rob has been a volunteer in the Grosse Pointe Woods Shores Little League since ending his little league career with the league. His family have been a part of this league from fathers to sons for over 50 years.

 Mr. Art Getz jr. Special advisor to the district administrator, Art is the former DA for Michigan District 6 and offers invaluable advise to the district administrator on handling problems and administering the many district tournaments at the end of the season.

District 6 would like to congratulate Brian Hoefler upon his election as President of Macomb Township Little League, succeeding Mark Saraceno. Brian has been a very important volunteer to the league serving the board of directors as well as coach and manager. Congratulations Brian

District 6 would like to congratulate Tom Shimmel upon his election as President of the Grosse Pointe Farms City Little League. Tom succeeds Paul Martinelli who server for several years. Tom has been a volunteer in the program for many years serving the board of directors in many capacities included as the last Vise President. Congratulations Tom.
