The Miami Herald's Team of the Week

The Ransom Everglades' girls volleyball team captured their first Smoothie King Invitational title by going 5-0 with wins over Westminter Christian (first win in 12 seasons), Chaminade Madonna, Calvary Christian, Gulliver and Mater Academy. Tere Bernace was named tournament MVP and teammates Kathryn Trinka, Nikki Colonna and Lisette Tellez each made All-Tournament team.

Palmetto HS JV finished their season 20-1 and took first place in the Sunset HS Elite 8 Tournament, defeating Southwest HS, Braddock HS, Killian HS, Sunset HS and Coral Reef HS. Freshman setter Addie Arill had a great time leading her team through an awesome season!

Team of the Week: Ransom Everglades Volleyball (Nikki Colonna, Tere Bernace, Sophia Carrera-Justiz, Sophie Bullard) won GOLD at the Chaminade Cares Tournament!

Athletes of the Week: Taylor David, Palmetto HS - David had 8 kills and 5 aces to lead the Panthers to a pivot win over district rival, Coral Reef HS. Juliana Calienes, St. Brendan HS - Calienes had 20 kills to lead the Sabres to a tough win over Key West HS.
