Julie Doan - Assistant Director, 13s -  Julie Doan graduated from FL Christian School in 2000, earning First Team All-County Honors as well as Volleyball Player of the Year. She attended Florida Community College at Jacksonville (’00-’01) on a full volleyball scholarship. While at FCCJ, she played OH and MB, earned MVP and All-Conference honors. Both years, FCCJ was ranked NJCAA Division 1 Top 10 (highest ranking at 5th) in the Nation. Upon graduation, Julie transferred to NCAA Division 1 FL International University, playing MB and currently holds a top 10 record for blocks per match and per game. She graduated from FIU’s College of Business with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.

Julie officially began her coaching career at Westminster Christian in 2005. In her first year, she led the Varsity Boys’ Volleyball Team to a State Final Four appearance and was selected as The Miami Herald’s Boys’ Volleyball Coach of the Year.

She is currently employed at Westminster as the Assistant to the Athletic Director and Head Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Coach. In 3 years (’05-’07) she has led the girls’ team to a District Championship, a Regional Final berth, and 2 Regional Semi-Final finishes. She has also had 10 First Team All-County players, a Player of the Year and has helped 6 athletes earn collegiate volleyball scholarships.

She is Gold Medal Squared and IMPACT certified. Julie and her dad, Scott, formed Miami Elite in 2005. Since then, MEVC has tripled in size and earned Gold Medal Squared accreditation.

Jessica Maduro - Tournament Director, 13s - Jessica Maduro graduated from Westminster Christian in 2002. While at WCS, she earned First Team All-County honors as well as The Miami Herald’s Player of the Year both junior AND senior years.

She was recruited by Division II National Champions, Barry University as an OH, earned a starting position as a Freshman, but unfortunately blew out her knee which ended her collegiate career.

Since Miami Elite began in 2005, Jessica has been a part of our organization. She has coached the 14s and 15s teams and last year was appointed Tournament Director.

Jessica recently graduated from FIU with her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. She is an assistant girls varsity coach at Westminster and is working on getting her personal trainer's certification. Jessica  has been IMPACT and Gold Medal Squared certified.

Kevin Carr - 18s & 13s-2 -  Kevin attended the Citadel on a full football scholarship but returned to Miami after a knee injury. While studying at Miami-Dade College, he began his coaching career with little league football. Through playing beach volleyball, Kevin met and married his wife, Rhonda; together they have 5 kids.

Over a 4-year span, Kevin won two state runner-up titles with the semi pro football team, the Florida Kings.  For 14 years, he played indoor volleyball in MDC’s adult league. Playing with and against AVP and ex-Olympic players, Kevin’s teams won their division or placed top 3 every year. He also won a beach volleyball fours-team National Championship as well as numerous top 3 finishes.

Kevin continued his coaching career with both the boys and girls Varsity volleyball teams at Homestead HS. While at Homestead, he had the joy of coaching his sons and helping 3 athletes earn college volleyball scholarships.

He recorded an undefeated season with Princeton Christian’s JV team. The following year with Princeton’s Varsity team was successful, too as they recorded only one loss and won a District Championship. Kevin also led South Dade HS to several successful seasons.

In 2001, he founded the successful AAU team, Southend Volleyball Club. Southend was a family affair as he and Rhonda coached their daughters, Kaylyn and Karlee to at least a dozen tournament championships.

Six years later in 2007, Rhonda, Kaylyn and Karlee (Redlands Christian) recorded their second District Championships and made it to the State Semi-Final match. Kevin made his way to Miami Elite and Westminster Christian, achieving Gold Medal Squared certification and Cap II accreditation status. He plans to achieve Cap III minimum and many successful years here at his new volleyball home.

Kevin owns a successful pool servicing company, Blue Bottom Pools, and is also the Head Girls' JV, Assistant Girls' Varsity and Head Boys' Varsity Volleyball coach at Westminster.
