Lettering Policy & Cub Foods Bagging Sign Up

Lettering Policy - Please see the titled "Lettering & Team Rules" for the 2014 -15 Season Lettering Policy from John.

Cub Foods Bagging Sign Up:
Dear MG Swim & Dive Families, Thanks for your patience as we get things rolling for the season. It always seems a little frantic early on, but believe it or not, you'll get used to it!

The girl's swim and dive team has a fine tradition of representing excellence! Please consider having your swimmer or diver join us on Saturday, Aug. 30 for an annual fundraising event held at Cub Foods in Maple Grove from 2 - 6 p.m. We have the privilege of being chosen within Cub's limited openings to hold this event, so it's important we have as many volunteers as necessary to guarantee we are asked back for future years.  Baggers should be 15 years old, wear appropriate attire (swim team apparel) and closed toed shoes. There are two shifts available and younger girls (<15) are welcome to attend to hold signs, collect money and thank customers for their support!

Please use this link to sign-up and volunteer:

If you should have any questions, please email Erin Buck at ebuck12597@gmail.com or Lisa Buck at bucksonapond@comcast.net

Thanks for your support & Go Crimson!!

More Team Information...Volunteers & Donations, etc.

Hello Maple Grove Girls Swim and Dive Team! There is a LOT of information in this message.  Please take time to review all of it.   To run a successful swim and dive season, we all need to pitch in to make it happen. Please see all the opportunities described below to see how you can help!

1.  We have the annual Brothers Meats fundraiser coming up on Saturday, August 23rd from 11:00am until 2:00pm.  Brothers Meats will provide the tent, grill, hotdogs, brats, buns, chips and beverages.  We just need a few volunteers to help with serving, sales and signs!  Parents are also welcome!  The tent will be located just outside of Brothers Meats in the parking lot across from JCPenney. You can volunteer from 11:00-12:30pm or from 12:30-2:00pm.  You are also welcome to work from 11:00-2:00pm.  This is always a fun summer event and a good opportunity to benefit the team.  Please send an e-mail to mikeandshellydill@comcast.net indicating the shift that you are able to work.

2.  Cub Foods Bagging.....see other posting for sign up.  Saturday, Aug 30

3.  Concessions donations:  Tracy Kaplan has graciously agreed to organize our concessions sales for the home meets.  A list of needed donations will be posted in the pool area of  MGJH sometime this week.  Please have your daughter sign up for an item or two to donate to the sales. We need the donations prior to the first home meet on Sept 4.  They can be brought to the pool area and stored in the upper room.

4. Concessions volunteers:  Our team offers concessions at every home meet to feed those hungry athletes and fans. In addition to the needed donations, we also need some volunteers to manage the sales during the meets.  If we fully staff the table with 3 volunteers, it allows parents to go into the pool area to watch their daughter swim or dive while still providing adequate coverage for concessions.  We need 3 volunteers from 5:30-the end of the meet on Sept. 4, 18, and Oct. 9, 21.  Please follow the link below to indicate when you are able to help.  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c054fafab23aafa7-home

5.  Home meet potlucks- After every home meet, we gather in the cafeteria to have a potluck.  We feed approximately 140 people: swimmers, divers, coaches, parents, and timers.  Each grade level is assigned a part of the meal (main, salads/fruits, desserts and drinks), and I am looking for some volunteers to help coordinate each group.  Please let me know if you are willing to help.  Our first home meet is Sept 4 against Park Center. 7/8 grade-  have 2 parent reps- thank you!9th grade- need 210th grade- need 211/12 grade- need 2

6. Team BBQ at Garvey's- Friday, Aug 22

2014 Clothing Order Form

Attached is the 2014 Clothing Order Form.  Orders are DUE 8/22/14.

Clothing is optional, HOWEVER, each swimmer/diver should at least order the Swimmer/Diver Baseball shirt - this is what they will wear for team pictures (Seniors will wear the sweatshirt).

Clothing seems to be 'true to size', but if you want to be sure, samples will be available at practice the first two weeks.

If you have any questions contact Meki Garvey at 763-639-2214 or mkgarvey65@gmail.com.

Order forms with checks made payable to MG Swim & Dive can be given to Rosie Garvey at practice.
