Mississauga Girls Softball Association: Welcome

The Mississauga Girls Softball Association (MGSA) is an umbrella organization that provides a venue for young ladies in Mississauga to play competitive house league softball. Through our member leagues, we provide fastpitch softball for girls from age 8 to age 22, from Mite to Midget.

MGSA member leagues include Erindale Lions, Mississauga Majors, Mississauga North Tigers and Mississauga Southwest Hurricanes. We also interlock with two Toronto organizations, Etobicoke Girls Softball, and Martingrove.  In the Midget division,  we also interlock with teams from the Oakville Girls Softball Association (OGSA). 

 Score Reporting:

Coaches are reminded that game scores are to be reported within 7 days, or you will be suspended for the next scheduled game. For ease of reporting, please use the following links. They will connect you with the MGSA email and your convenor.

Toronto City Workers Labour Disruption:

6:30 pm & 8:30 pm games at Eringate and 6:30 pm games at Martingrove parks will go ahead as scheduled until further notice. All 8:30 pm games at Martingrove (Centennial Park) are postponed until further notice. Please check the Schedule Changes section below as some 8:30 pm Bantam and Midget game start times at Centennial Park have been changed to 6:30 pm and other games have been moved to Eringate 1.

As there is no maintenance of parks during this time, we ask coaches to remind your players to ensure the dugouts are clean after your game, and take garbage home with you as there is no pick up in the parks.

MGSA Midget All-Star Game:

Senior players from our Midget division will participate in an All-Star game against a team from the Mississauga West Womens Softball League. The game will take place at 9:00PM, Friday, July 24 at Meadowvale Sports Park.  All MGSA players and coaches are welcome to attend the game.  More information will be posted shortly.

Vote For Softball To Be An Olympic Sport In 2016:

The Canadian Olympic Committee has posted a poll on their website asking: “What sport would you like to see added to the 2016 Olympic Games?”

2009 Schedules are now posted. The schedules distributed by your coach are "official", and supercede those found here. Should you notice a discrepancy between the printed copies and what is listed here, please email us with the information.

2009 Softball Canada Lightning Guideline:

The plate umpire will immediately suspend the game if he or she hears thunder within 30 seconds of seeing a lightning flash. The umpire will not resume the game until 30 minutes have passed with no lightning followed by thunder within 30 seconds.
