ASA UMPIRES

 

If you have thought about becoming an ASA umpire, but just pushed it to the back burner, its time to stop procrastinating. The Mesquite-Forney Umpire Assoc will begin training every Wed night thru March. Tonight organizational meeting well be at the First Baptist Sports Complex, 7850 Samuell Blvd, Dallas at 6:30pm. No experience necessary. If you are interested my number is 972-681-1355, email mktx@flash.net.
All of the local associations are starting up also, if you need help in finding one I will be glad to get you pointed in the right direction.
The ASA umpiring experience is one of the most rewarding, and fun, things that a sports lover can be involved in. Junior umpires are also accepted, starting at about 16, possibly as young as 14, depending on the maturity level of the participant. In the Metro, De Soto, Duncanville, Cedar Hill and Irving are really needing new people. Don't wait, step up to the plate and make a difference in our great sport.
