7:00p – 9:00p at North Middle School Cafeteria

We are now accepting contest entries for the 2012 Opening Day Book Cover contest!  The following criteria must be used for all entries:

• Paper size - 8.5" x 11"
• Portrait length
• White paper
• Black or blue ink (no color as the book is printed in black only)

The front cover must include:

• Menononee Falls Little League Opening Day
• Saturday, May 5

Write your name and age (in pencil) on the back lower corner of the paper to keep entries anonymous. 

Entries must be received by Saturday, February 28, 2012.  Entries can be turned in:

• any of the January registration dates
• Monday, February 6, 2012 at the Annual Parent Meeting
• Saturday, February 25, 2012 at New Player Evaluation

They can also be mailed in a flat envelope (not folded) to:

The first place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Burghardt’s and have their drawing on the cover of the Opening Day Book. Second and third place winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to Burghardt’s and their drawing printed within the Opening Day Book.

Wanted: MFLL Concession Manager 

MFLL invites interested applicants to apply for a part-time paid position as the Concession Manager of our two concession stands.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the initial set-up and ordering of necessary product and equipment.
• Participate in the training and oversight of the daily concession volunteers.
• Ensure proper handling and deposit of the daily monetary earnings from both stands ensuring proper internal controls are followed.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the concession stands & workers at all times.
• Continue to monitor and manage the daily operation when games are in play.
• Lead and manage the final closure of the concessions stands at season end.

Qualifications desired:

• Flexibility
• Organizational skills
• Friendliness and the ability and desire to work with many people
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Food service experince a plus

Timeframe:  April 8- August 4, 2012

MFLL doesn't run by itself.  It takes the dedication of all our volunteers.  One great way to get involved is by being on the MFLL Board.  As a Board Member, your dedication counts towards all your required volunteer time for the upcoming season.  (Remember, it's good to step in a help your team(s) if they are in need of volunteers for your team's concession stand duty!)  We have the following open positions:

• Field Maintenance - this person is responsible for the overall care of the fields at The Complex; to ensure equipment boxes are supplied with chalk, rakes, chalkers, etc.; coordinates purchage and storage of all field equipment.

It's not too early to think about baseball, much less the Brewers!  Save the date.....Monday, June 18th for the annual Little League Night at Miller Park. 

This is a major fundraiser for MFLL.  Half of the dollar amount of each ticket remains with MFLL!  The price of each ticket is the same as if you were purchasing directly with the Brewers.

Order forms will be in Player Packets, available in April 2012.

MFLL would like to thank the many people and organizations who have come forward with their help!  There is a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.     

On Sunday, August 14th, at approximately 12:30 AM, The Complex was vandalized. The damage to a number of buildings was extensive. The police are still investigating. Pictures are posted to give you the full impact of this senseless act.
