Countdown to Opening Day 

Registrations spots are available!  As of:

Monday, February 8, 2010

our availability is listed below.  This will be updated every couple of days with current numbers.  If you need clarification on a division opening, please email Jill at mfll@fallslittleleague.org. 

(Ages are as of 12/31/2009 for girls and 4/30/2010 for boys.)

For divisions with limited spots we suggest you email Jill to inquire about availability prior to mailing on your papers to ensure spots are still open.

All registrations must include (forms can be found under the Forms link to the left):

·         Application to Play Ball

·         Volunteer Agreement

·         Background check for both parents and copy of drivers licenses for both parents

·         Copy of Birth Certificate – for new players

·         Copy of utility bill – for new families to MFLL

·         Check payable to MFLL (1 child $140, 2 players $270, 3 or more $400)

·         Returning families – if you did not complete your volunteer hours in 2009, your registration will not be processed unless it includes the non-volunteer hours payment of $100.

The Menomonee Falls School District is currently looking to eliminate all Middle School Athletics due to a 2010-11 budget deficit.  This decision would go into effect this fall (2010).  If all Middle School athletics were cut, roughly 20% of the students would be out of after school activities.

This would certainly put a dent into Menomonee Falls' comprehensive education.  The Middle School lost all of their 'B' teams just last year due to budget cuts.  That decision cost over 50 students a chance to play for the school that they attend.   

** If you are concerned with this proposal to cut the budget and Middle School Athletics Programs, please let your opinions be known to Athletics Director, Dave Petroff at 262-255-8497 and Superintendent, Keith Marty at 262-255-8440.

Please be heard by attending the next scheduled School Board meeting on Monday, February 8th 7:00 PM at the Community Center.

Calling all artists!

We are looking for artwork for the cover of the 2010 MFLL Opening Day book.  The contest is open to all players.

• All entries must be received by mail no later than Monday, February 15
• All entries must be on 8.5 x 11 inch white paper - portrait
• Black coloring only - the books are printed in black/white
• Entrant's name and phone number should be in pencil on the back to maintain confidentiality
• All entries need to be mailed in a flat envelope to:

First place: Picture will be featured on the cover of the 2010 Opening Day Book plus a $50 gift certificate to Burghardt's Sporting Goods.

2nd & 3rd place: Picture will be placed within the 2010 Opening Day Book plus a $25 gift certificate to Burghardt's Sporting Goods.

Winners are chosen by a blind vote of the MFLL Board of Directors.

We're on Facebook!  The MFLL now has a Facebook Group you can join.  The website should still be your #1 place to go to for information.  The Facebook page is another outlet for communication and commeradere.

Just a reminder - all previous accesses to the website (except for current board members) have been removed.  After registration, we wil begin taking requests for website access to protected areas.
