Metro Welcomes Peotone
The second time proved to be the charm as The Metro League voted unanimously at the March meeting to accept the Peotone Blue Demons. We wish the best of luck to our newest members.
Alsip Joins Metro
The Alsip Falcons petitioned Metro for acceptance into the league and were accepted by a unanimous vote. The Falcons are in their second year and come to us from the Will-Cook league. Good luck to this young organization.
Metro Welcomes Markham
The Metro Youth Football League voted unanimously to accept the newly-formed Markham Patriots into the league for competition in the 2005 season. Congratulations and good luck to this brand new organization.
Homecoming in Hessville
The Hessville Vipers will host the Hickory Hills Rebels for their homecoming on Saturday night, Oct. 9th at Morton H.S. Pee Wees kick off at 5:00 p.m.
Blue Island to Host First Night Game
The Blue Island Untouchables will host their first ever night game at Memorial Park on Saturday, September 25th vs. the Palos Lightning. Super Pee Wees kick off at 3:30 with Pee Wees, Widgets, and Juniors to follow.
Hessville Joins Metro League
The members of the Metro Youth Football League voted unanimously to expand into Indiana by accepting the Hessville Vipers into the league. We wish the best of luck to the Vipers.
Metro Admits Hayes Park Blitz
On Monday, December 16, the members of the Metro Youth Football League voted unanimously to accept the newly formed Hayes Park Blitz into the league for the 2003 season. We wish the best of luck to this new organization.
Worth Sets New Metro Record
Congratulations To Mike Lindskog who set a new Metro League record. At the add-on weigh in in Mt. Greenwood Thursday night, the Worth Juniors became the first team to bring more players to the second weigh-in than they did to the first. All kidding aside, nice job on bringing up the numbers. We just hope he was able to get all those kids home and have the car back before he got grounded.
Lightning Cancels Knights-Bulldogs Matchup
The Hegewisch Bulldogs visited Orland Park on Sunday, Sept. 8th only to have lightning cut the day short. In the 1st quarter of the Junior game, with the score tied 7 - 7, Orland Park District's lightning detector went off signalling lightning in the immediate area. The game was subsequently canceled. No information on the rescheduling of this game is available yet.
Metro Welcomes Evergreen Park
The Metro Youth Football League voted unanimously to accept the Newly Formed Evergreen Park Stallions into the league starting in the 2003 season. Good Luck to the Stallions
Palos Joins Metro League
The Palos Lightning has joined the Metro League and will be in the newly formed USFC conference.

Homewood Flossmoor has left the Metro League to find that Super Pee Wee- Super Bowl.
