New Bat Regulations for 2009

Beginning with the 2009 season, non-wood bats used in the divisions of Little
League (ages 12 and younger) shall be printed with a BPF (bat performance factor) of 1.15 or less.

Please note that this rule is for players in Little League, league age 12 and younger, and will be in effect beginning in the 2009 season. Most bats that are made today already meet this standard, but such certification must be printed on the bat in 2009. Bat manufacturers are aware of this, and I would believe that you will begin to see this mark printed on bats in the near future.
