WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE MESQUITE STORM. Thank you boys for all you did.
Taking Mesquite by STORM we are the
MESQUITE STORM.
A 9 Year Old Mesquite Baseball Inc. team in the Mustang Division.
2001 The Year Of The STORM !!
Accomplishments this year include:
1) Going from a 5 - 11 to a 12 - 6 season.
2) Qualifying for USSSA "AA" State Championship.
3) Qualifying for Super Series National Championship.
4) Qualifying for USSSA "AA" National Championship.

Sometime in the future, those who live by statistics will look back on the 2001 season and think they know. We should not fault them for that, for statistics will be all that they have on which to go.
But, while they may have before them the facts, they will not know the truth. The truth will be in the memories of those who watched.
And what will those memories be?
For some a perfect relay from the fence in center to the plate, a double scoring two, a scoop at first saving two, a strike to second scratching one, or one big fly then another.
For others, one more curve from an elbow too sore to describe, one more shot across the infield from a shoulder hurting more than we will know, one more sprint to first on an ankle that will later that night swell to twice its normal size, or one more sharply hit ball from a damaged hand that would put many another on the DL.
For all they will be images of 13 young men playing out the cards that they were dealt, and in the process demonstrating qualities all hope for in their sons: perseverance in the face of pain and disappointment; compassion for those around them; and, above all, courage.
Those who know only of facts will sagely nod and agree with one another, this team did not win.
But those who know truth will also know this: little difference comes from wins and losses.
No matter the numbers, these 13 were heroes.

GARLAND SUPER SERIES
We have now qualified for the National Championship Tournament in July at the Dr. Pepper Youth Park in Arlington,(next to the Ballpark in Arlington), more information will soon be avaliable.
Storm Win Berth In State Championship
By placing in BBI USSSA "AA" Tournament the Storm now have qualified for a berth in the State Championship Tournament.
Storm Win Berth in USSSA National Championship
By placing in the "AA" State Championship Tournament we have now qualified for the USSSA "AA" National Championship in Breaux Bridge Louisiana.
