Landfill Development and Operations The Johnson County Landfill encompasses more than 700 acres on the western edge of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Our Subtitle D landfill meets or exceeds all federal, state and local regulations and operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. The Johnson County Landfill is the largest disposal facility in greater Kansas City and the state of Kansas. Additionally, Deffenbaugh Industries, Inc. and Affiliates has constructed other municipal solid waste landfills and operates transfer stations and demolition landfills in the Midwest. |
The Sandlot

The Sandlot Indoor Practice Facility We welcome walk-ins but we are now taking reservations for TEAM practice times. We are currently open from 4:30 – 8:30 Monday through Friday. Beginning January 16, we are going to change our hours to Friday – 4:30 – 8:30, Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m and Sundays from 1:00 – 8:00. The two batting cages will be occupied with our 5 week Hitting Leagues until February 15. We will still have mounds, one live cage and a 68’ X 40’ drill area available for teams or individuals to use during the Hitting Leagues on Sundays unitl then. After March 2, more hours will be available for teams and lessons. |
