The next meeting of the MVYBS Board is Sunday February 12th at 6:00 PM, at the Penacook Community Center.  All are welcome!

What is MVYBS?

Our organization is chartered by Cal Ripken Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball(older boys, 13-15) and NH Babe Ruth Softball to provide Baseball and Softball activities for Boys 5-15** y.o. and Girls 5-16 y.o. from the towns of Penacook, Boscawen, Salisbury, Webster, Loudon(softball only) and Andover(only Babe Ruth baseball) NH.  We are run by a all-volunteer Board of directors made up from our communities.   Check out the members on the appropriate page on this website.

Please note how Ages are calculated: Softball is determined by year's end, 12/31/year.   Baseball(Little League and Babe Ruth baseball 13-15 yo) is determined by the player's as of 4/30 in the current Baseball season we are playing.

The 2012 Board welcomes volunteers, at many levels, to make the season as successful as possible.  Please remind your neighbors and friends of the signup dates.  Our general question email box: merrimackvalleyll@gmail.com  or for questions regarding signups, tryouts and rosters, OR ANYTHING ELSE!

Concession Stand-Why We have it!

Important: 2011 Season

The concession stand at Jamie Welch field will be open for all games that take place there.  The "Home" team according to the published MVLL schedule will be responsible for having 2 adults run the concessions for that evenings game.  The only exception is when a team from outside of our MVLL comes to Jamie Welch Field to play, it will be the responsibility of the MVLL team to run the concessions that game.  A schedule will be sent with each Coach at the beginning of the season so people can set up which night they would like to volunteer.  Older children are also able to get community service hours for working the concessions - However still need two adults.

Having the concessions open every evening is a great fundraiser(made $1000.00) for the League - with all the proceeds going directly to MVLL.  Unfortunately in the past it is sometimes difficult to get volunteers for these types of things.  To make sure this doesn't happen we have implimented a rule that mandates the concessions is open and if it isn't the "Home" team would forfeight the game.  We anticipate that this will not happen but is our way of making sure the resposibility of the League is divided among us all not just a select few.

The "Away" team will be resonsible for cleaning the field after the game.  The only exception is when a team from outside of MVLL comes to Jamie Welch Field to play, it will be the resposibility of the MVLL team to clean the field after the game.

Keep in mind, the view from the Concessions Stand is the best in the house!

Banned Bats by Little League

Read this before you buy a bat!    LL has put out a moratorium on certain types of bats they classify as Composite.    So that you do not have a 300.00 wallhanger, read the article first before buying any bats and check to see if any bat you now have fits into this classification.   Any further questions should be directed to LL International.
