The following Merit Badges will be offered:

           The 4th Annual Troop 643 Merit Badge Academy will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 8:45am - 3:00pm at 10901 St. Henry Ln. St. Ann, MO 63074. (Holy Trinity School - St. Ann.) Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony will be held at 8:45am. Classes will be limited in size and filled on a first come- first serve basis with paid registration.

          The fee is $20 with registration ending on February 28, 2016.  If there is still room in a class and if paid after the deadline there will be an additional late registration fee of $10. No registrations will be accepted the day of the event. The Fee includes: lunch(pizza, chips, carrots, fruit snacks, cookies, soda), event patch, and materials needed for the class unless otherwise stated below.  A lunch may be purchased for $7.00 for adults.

          Scouts are required to be in field (class A) uniform and abide by the Scout Oath and Law. Each Scout should bring merit badge card signed by their scoutmaster, merit badge booklet, workbook, pencil, paper, etc. to class.

          All merit badges classes will be run by the actual counselors for that particular merit badge. If a scout has done the prerequisites and actively participates in class he will earn that merit badge that day. All prerequisites must be completed prior to the academy if the prerequisites were not completed prior to class the merit badge counselor will provide the scout with their contact information to allow them to finish at a later date.

If you choose a half day class you can choose another to complete the day.

Prerequisites and Supplies Needed

MERIT BADGE          PREREQUISITES AND SUPPLIES NEEDED

Animal Science:       None

Chemistry:    None

Citizenship in the Community:     Requirements 3A, 7 and 8 must be completed prior to class.

Citizenship in the Nation: Requirements 3 and 8 must be completed prior to class. (Bring a copy of your letter for requirement 8.)

Citizenship in the World:   None

Communications:    Requirements 5, 7, and 8 (Bring your work to class.)

Dentistry:      Requirement 4c (Bring your work to class.)

Emergency Preparedness:            Requirements 1, 2B, 2C, 6C, 8B must be completed prior to class. Bring proof of earning the First Aid merit badge. You can bring pictures for 8C.

First Aid:        Requirements 1 and 2D (Bring a note from your Scoutmaster for requirement 1.)

Geology:        None

Music:            Requirement 3

Personal Management:     Requirements 1, 2 and 8 (Bring your work to class)

Sculpture:     Bring 5lbs of modeling clay to class (Stonex self hardening clay is best. You can go to hobbylobby.com for 40% off coupon)

Traffic Safety:          None

Weather:      Requirements 9 and 10 (Bring your work to class. For requirement 10 you will give your speech in class)
