Miss Englewood Girls Fast Pitch Softball is a Recreational Girls Softball Program here in Englewood. Our goal is to provide young girls with a positive atmosphere of instruction, physical training and mental preparedness for use on the field and throughout life. 

Spring 2012 season is underway.  We are still taking registrants for our 6u team.  If you have a daughter age 4-6 years old, please call Heather Henderson at 941-270-0733.

 We will be painting the dug outs on Field 7 this weekend, with the outside being blue, the inside orange, and our new helmet shelves installed by Eddie Moore will be painted blue to break up all the orange on the inside.  

We have ordered our new equipment shed, so you should be seeing it in the next few weeks.  We are looking into putting a batting cage up by our fields also, and would really like to put up a new score board.  In order for us to purchase all this, our fundraisers need to be a success!

Friday March 23, 2012-Sunday March 25, 2012 we will be hosting Miss Florida's USSSA mid season tournament.  We will be bringing in approx. 100 rec. ball teams from all over florida to our area.  We will be using 3 complexes.  Englewood Sports Complex, Foxworthy Bypass and Narramore Sports Complex in North Port.    We need all the volunteers we can get to help with concession stand, selling merchandise, lining and racking the fields, trash pick up and general clean up. We are also looking for volunteer score keepers to keep official score. We applied for a $3,500.00 grant through Sarasota County Sprots Commission and found out we were approved for it on Friday.  We will be using that money to pay the $3,800 we are being charged for fields and lights. http://www.sarasotafl.org.
