Medway Youth Baseball: Complaint Policy
It is the policy of Medway Youth Baseball to maintain an official complaint process. Any individual may issue a formal complaint for inappropriate behavior involving managers, coaches, players, umpires, volunteers, spectators, and MYB Directors.
The complaint process will cover all leagues and venues for players sponsored by MYB. This includes pre-season, in-season and post-season play.
The Board of Directors of MYB will respond to all formal complaints. If deemed appropriate, the Board will take action to rectify reported activity within its jurisdiction.
An individual who witnesses any action that they feel is inappropriate may lodge a formal complaint with the MYB Board of Directors through the MYB Player Representative. If the complaint is against the Player Representative, an individual may contact any member of the Board of Directors.
Individuals will be encouraged to submit a complaint in writing. If a verbal complaint is registered, the Player Representative will prepare a written complaint and provide a copy to the individual.
The Player Representative will acknowledge all complaints in a timely manner. The Player Representative will forward all complaints to the President of MYB and the appropriate League Directors for further action. It is the responsibility of the President of MYB to determine the level of attention the complaint requires, i.e., the full Board of Directors, League Directors, Board Officers, etc. In a situation where the President decides not to carry a complaint to the full Board and the Player Representative or League Directors disagree with that decision, the complaint will be presented to the Board of Directors.
As directed by the President of MYB, MYB will investigate all complaints and speak to the involved parties before taking any action.
The Player Representative will provide notification of any action taken by MYB to individuals who submit complaints.
MYB will maintain a file of all issued complaints and the MYB response.
